There's a bit of misconception here. What you guys ate was terang bulan (lit. moon bright). It's commonly sold _alongside_ martabak, which is actually eggs, meat, and other fillings wrapped in a high-protein thin dough and then deep fried. If you look at the original street food, vendors would bring pre-measured doughs to be flattened on a big ceramic tile when prepping. It's oily, but very crispy and delicious. @@JLJupiterTV yeah its true.

And people said chesse and chocolate don't go together
"There's a sink in the actual place."
Oh how I love Indonesian street food restaurants

Now i wish London has Martabak too here! as someone who's been away from hometown for 5 years i've been craving the savory martabak one. And now because of the covid i can't come home to Indonesia. Last time i had Martabak was Jan last year. It's almost 2 years now. Martabak is my guilty pleasure for sho.:(
Make one then..... Or sponsor someone to make it..... It'll definitely be a good investment

Guys, congrats. You both are Indonesian now.
Many said that sweet Martabak, the original one, is worth to die for.
You know the funny thing is, I've been eating Martabak for my entire life but my reaction every time I ate Martabak was just the same as you guys. 😅
As much as I love martabak, it is something that I only buy when I was with a group of friends or family. The sweet varieties are real calories bomb and can be too much in large portion. I personally loves the savory version more, but as a treat from time to time? The classic chocolate+nuts+cheese is the way to go 🤤
I work across the street from this place I eat it all the time
Ur body gotta be full of sugar 😂
@@coolestgangsta7164 oddly enough I only had the desserts one time the all beef martabak is to die for
Yo @jLjupiter next time come across the street to bury the hatchet and throw some axes
Is it any good?

I’m Indonesian and i find it hard too to resist this very unhealthy food that taste incredibly soooo good. The trick is buy a box, bring to your office , eat just one and let the other commit the sin 😄
Sneaky. But worth it.
Naaaahh bro,im a "kosan guy",im gonna put it in the fridge then heat it up in the morning, made it a breakfast and lunch with rice
