Ian Tyson may have written the song in 1964 but you have 'owned' it since the first time you sang it. I've seen you in concert many times and I always wait impatiently for this one. TU.
I saw you in Kansas in the late 80s later in El paso in the mid 90s. This song means alot... A few years ago middle of the night hear this song in my sleep. Nothing but love and Respect for this Lady. While in the Service.
You made "Someday Soon" your song. We all love it the way you present it. Sorry, but Judy Collins must step aside, it's yours. One of your concerts in Florida is my favorite, very mellow and softer. No matter, you nail this song every time. Looking forward to seeing you in Red Bluff, California this May.
@@conniemartin6724 SO True. And to me at least so much country now sounds like pop. I wanted to recommend Lindi Ortega. Check her music especially Little Red Boots and Cigarettes and Truckstops. She is so unknown except in Canada and does not sound modern. I have a Suzy record she did in Aledo, Illinois back in 1981 I think. So lucky to have found that. Love music!
One of my favorite “real” country songs, reminds me of my dad! He was born in southern Colorado, Pueblo to be exact and he was into rodeo as well! Hits home, thank you!
Thank you for always doing an awesome job on this song. Here’s to the great Albertan, Ian Tyson. 🍻 May he always ride with the great remudas in the sky and hear you sing this song!
You are simply awesome, Suzy. I met you after a show at the Wayne county fair in Wooster, Ohio many moons ago. You were so, talented, sweet and genuine. Thank you! ❤❤
You are my favourite. I used to always sing Someday Soon at karaoke. Now 20 years later I’m trying to learn guitar in my 50s. I’m thrilled to find you on social media.
Wow! Brilliant! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟and Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ What a treat it is to hear you sing and play! I have an autographed photo and a CD that I will treasure forever. Thank you 🙏
Actually it was introduced to the public about 20 years before Suzy began using it as her opening song. Someday Soon was written by Ian Tyson and originally recorded by him and his then wife, Sylvia. Sometime in the m id-1970's, Judy Collins recorded a cover version, but it's not remotely as good as Suzy's beautiful rendition. She helped the public rediscover a lost gem of a song.
This is a great version but frankly it owes a great deal to the updates Stills and Collins made to how Ian Tyson wrote it. And the Collins version had James Burton on tele to boot. Not sure what compels so many to declare what should be the ultimate version. Lots of artists have done their take and shouldn't be dismissed as inferior. They sell more records than you do. Just shut up and let us enjoy great art without ruffling feathers and showing off.
Suzy, thanks so much for this extra song.... I am singing along with you. This is some of the early music of yours that enchanted me....then I was hooked. Are you planning a special event when we get to WDW #52? You are getting there, soon it will be a full year. It has just been magical having you there for us week after week. What a generous soul you are. Please know that you are deeply appreciated...and loved.🥰
Wow! Just the opening chords gave me goosebumps and then you sang...... tears! My daughter plays and I’m trying to get her to cover this, hopefully “someday soon” she’ll learn it! Your voice and face are just as lovely as ever and thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent! God bless.
your voice sounds great. i rode bulls after i got out the marine corps. and this song was on the radio a lot at the end of my tour, miss hearing you on the radio.,,, lol ,, old guy😀
When I hear you do this song, and so graciously obliging I might add, it's like eating a great piece of dark chocolate...where time stops briefly and you soak up all the sweetness and decadence of enjoying those few moments. Emotions well up and you feel sooooo good inside. As I near 66 and wander this world alone, it's sadly quite painful too..but the romantic longing still wins out. One of the greatest songs ever written and gifted to us by a beautiful voice and I'm sure beautiful person 😌
You own this song. You were one of my grandmother’s favorite singers in the 90’s, and I have many good memories of the two of us watching you sing on various shows on TNN. Thanks for continuing to bless us with your music.
Ive been a fan from the first time I heard your voice. Love your "story telling" songs. So grateful for youtube that I can still hear all these memories. Xo
I must say, Someday Soon is really a great song, and I think there isn't anyone who's ever sang it better than you, including Judy Collins. Your version is better. I first saw it on the Texas Connection show with JJ Walker. There just isn't anyone who can sing that song better than you. Thank you for being you.
I could listen to you sing Someday Soon and Night Rider's Lament over and over and...
I sure do.
Agree!
I agree with you about that!
I can listen to you singing all day long...
Ian Tyson may have written the song in 1964 but you have 'owned' it since the first time you sang it. I've seen you in concert many times and I always wait impatiently for this one. TU.
Well, my 52nd birthday was on Monday - but I'll take this as belated present! Thanks to the always amazing Ms. Bogguss!
A great big hello from Boulder to a great country star. Thanks for the great song!
Brings back memories working on my Car in the garage in high School in the 1990's
Excellent, you’ve still got it.
I saw you in Kansas in the late 80s later in El paso in the mid 90s. This song means alot... A few years ago middle of the night hear this song in my sleep. Nothing but love and Respect for this Lady. While in the Service.
Beautiful to listen to today as so many years ago!!!

Wow. Suzy mesmerizes me when watching her sing. She is so beautiful and that voice. Wow
So many wonderful things come from the people in this country. Thank you for being Suzy Boggus. What a life you've lived.
One of the first songs I ever heard you sing, and I was hooked ever since. Still fantastic, Suzy!!
My favorites are "Letting Go" and "Cinderella" of course "Drive South". Have seen Suzy in concert 4 times recently before COVID.
Saw the Chick's with hits at country thunder. Suzy blew me away!! Such a haunting, beautiful voice!!
Man I just love listening to you sing and play. God bless
I am not sure if I ever really believed a woman could love a man until I heard this beautiful voice sing this song some years ago.
Gorgeous. A treasure in music! One of the best voices in music period next to Linda.
she is definately underrated - especially since Nashville is only interested in the latest, greatest money maker!

This Canadian agrees with you 100%!
Love your blouse and neck scarf. You vocals are impeccable!
Suzy, I've been listening to every cover of this song since I was a pup and your take on it still pleases my ear the best!
I've played steel around DFW for 47 years and love to play this one in the various bands I work with.
What a voice. Fe3ll in love with here the first time I heard her belt out this great song.
Your voice is sheer perfection & still sounds amazing! You're also as beautiful as ever! Someday soon is my absolute favorite! Thanks!

Since you first put this music out in the world I've loved it. I would imagine that you were singing of me 😊
i guess you were to young to remember when Ian and Sylvia wrote and sang this song in 1964 and then Judi Collins in 1969
I've always loved your music. I sang since the 70s with our band. Had to retire a few years ago. So glad to hear you're still singing.
This is such a beautiful song, Suzy. You sing it so well. Your voice is amazing and wonderful. Thank you and Doug for Wine Down Wednesdays :)

What a wonderful voice you have Miss Suzy - big howdy from Texas
Wanted to marry you and that angelic voice in the 90's. Love to hear you still singing.
One my favorite songs you do. Thanks for the clear view of your hands, too. Us guitarists are always curios as to a specific musician’s technique.
Great job Suzy, see ya in Tomball in a few months.
Always liked her version the best!
Thanks for the treat Suzy! Great as always!
I love the way you sing Someday Soon Suzy...your vocal is so pretty on it & the guitar chords are classic...I love the progression.
