Great video 💪 teamwork makes the dream work👌 good to have a real friend like Phil who has your back 💪💪 I have many acquaintance's but only two real friends 👌
Great job, knocked that out in not time. You'll appreciate those stairs and porch landings. Certainly a major upgrade and makes getting in and out so much easier. Especially after you stick an arrow in a 4 legged critter.
Hell yeah, nice work! Glad that ships ladder is for an 8ft blind. We build one for a 14ft and it was HEAVY. Bear to install in the field. Let me know how I can get a bottle mailed to you gentlemen. You’ve both had a year for sure!
lol yeah that 10' ladder was hefty, I would not want to try one that's 14! You can email me at kapper@kapperoutdoors or go to the YT home page and click the contact info. Thanks!
@@KapperOutdoors2.0 it's a new county rule. before there was no rifle hunting in the county. they claim to many house around. half the county is farm land. we have to same bs as you left creeping in here.
Kapper do you put stabilizer in your diesel tank? Chuck has a gas tank for wife and truck and diesel tank for his equipment. They’re about the same size as yours, but on ground and painted white.
Usually I do but not so much when I am burning it up. The Kioti quit again and I drained the water out of the filter and now its good. Not sure if somewhere out here has bad diesel or what..?
I think it was in there somewhere but not sure. I think we used 2x8's for the steps, roughly 12" spacing. But I bet you can get that if you watch how we marked them as far as the actual dimensions. Thanks and best of luck!
I'ts actually quite sturdy with single braces. Now the other wood blind we did.. Yeah that need full X braces! That one was wobbly. But the stake pockets are perfect on these banks blinds and that helps a lot
You guys need some Ratcheting Bar Clamps about as bad as anyone I know. Surely Phil or you have some somewhere laying around? Helps hold the lumber together while one person is working on building things and the other person is Tractoring or Filming! lol
Good question, they were standard treated 4x4 but I'm not a lumber expert. I believe they would have been like you said 3.5/3.5. They were Menards standard treated.
Sorry I didn't comment ... that was an excellent video that you guys put together, it helped me make a decision on which blind to purchase after watching one of your previous videos when you tried them out.
Nice job! I wish I had a Phil!
I won't sell him! But I might contract him out if I make some profit..? How bad to you want him!!? LOL
Awesome stuff!! Thanks for posting!!!
Thank you much appreciated. Great days in the field like this are awesome.
Great build! The towers and stairs turned out very nice!
Thank you! 😁Phil has a great plan that he created!
Looks great!
Good for safety too! :)

Absolutely spot on! Good friends are really hard to come by!

Yep, and none of us are getting younger so we are looking to when we will really appreciate being able to get in a deer tower! Thanks man
Awesome, now we're in bidness!
Roger that! Let the blinds begin!!

Nice work
looking good, we have to make ours 10 to the floor, rifle regulations.
Is that a geo thing just certain counties?

It's nice having good friends. Hard to find
oh yes for sure! I am grateful for sure!
Nice job!
Good to have a little forward movement! Thanks
They look good, simple solution on a reasonable budget. Now you need a big solar generator like Bever Farms has in his "deer blind".
lol you never know I might add one someday! It was a great deal to get into true banks blinds! Thanks
I always see Felipe doing all the work. What exactly is it that Capper does? Supervise? Great job Felipe. 👌 😛
Well at times I do need to supervise! But I still ain't afraid of work, it just hurts a lot to do!!

You should wire a 7 way plug to your fuel pump then you don’t have to drag wire across truck to get to battery just plug into 7way in bed or on bumper
It sure would be easier for sure! But I am not quite as handy as Phil, lol. But I'm sure I could figure it out.
What size lumber did you use for the stairs and what is the stair spacing? Thanks!

Nice! You might want to do a x brace on the legs

Great job guys. What’s up with Curtis? We haven’t seen him in a long time…
He still lives in IL and its 5 hours away!
Cool. Thanks for the update. 👍
were those "true" 4x4 posts for the legs or were they 3.5 x 3.5?
Good question, they were standard treated 4x4 but I'm not a lumber expert. I believe they would have been like you said 3.5/3.5. They were Menards standard treated.
Thanks for the reply. It looks like you didn't have any slop in there when you bolted in the post to the bottom of the stand

I hope Phil got a nice t bone steak after all that work.
LOL I gave him a promissary note!! :0
