Wow I learned soo much. I absolutely LOVE the way you squared off the foot. Can’t believe I’ve never seen that before. So glad to hear your mamma is doing well!!!
Hi. I love this basket. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks. I'm glad to hear that your mum is getting slowly better. I hope your knees are healing as well.
So glad that your mom is back home and healing. I love these baskets I will definitely be trying to make one. Thank you for all your tutorials I really look forward to them.
So glad to hear that your Mom is back in the US and on the mend! So much stress…wow! Thank you for this amazing tutorial! I’ve wanted to do a basket weave but you have shared some amazing info that I would have never thought of and have set me up for success, cuz I think I would have made many mistakes!! Thank you!!!
Hi T, LOVE the bowl and have made some myself with GREAT DIFFICULTY....you have showed me THE WAY !!! Thank You. I am also SO VERY HAPPY that your Mom is home safe and relatively sound and working on getting better! Boy, you have had one hell of a year, but you and your family are very strong and will get thru this....this too shall pass....just stay strong!
Great to hear your Mom is back home, and you can look in on her as she gets better! Thank you for this amazing video! I didn’t watch it earlier, as I was so sure I couldn’t make this… but with your great instructions, I’m sure I can! 😊
I’m so glad that your mom is back with you. I loved watching the video on making the basket. You make it look so easy. I’m going to try and make one. Thank you.
Hello, I wanted to add that Sharon Hoppe had a brilliant idea using a battery powered caulking gun to extrude clay. I bet there is a die for each size strip available, or a 3D printer could be used to make some. Using the Milwaukee powered caulking gun would really help to speed up making your strips. Of course, a hand held extruded would work too. I just wanted to throw that out to you. Thank you so much for your amazing basket and your precious time.
I've used an extruder before, and I've looked at the basket weave one for my wall extruder, but they aren't thin enough. The baskets o wanted to make needed to be thinner strips for that. So this worked best for me. But printing one is a great idea! Thank you.
thankyou for keeping us updated on your mum, hubby last year, you ongoing but looking so much better now your in your happy place and great to hear your mum and daughter are on home soil. thankyou x hugs all round. Pottery, this is looking so pretty, glad you have the patience and skill to show us how its done. its not a project i will be adding to my have a go at, any time soon x
I can’t thank you enough. I made two woven baskets. Was not pleased with how heavy they were Was going to problem solve today, but you solved so much for me. I used the back side of a commercial tile to make the handles. Have since ordered Van Glider tool. I have that same seed pod. I didn’t know what it was. I’ve had for 10 years after a visit to California. I live in Colorado. I have a wood stove in my studio so drying too fast is a big issue. Thank you. Thank you saved me so much time.
So glad your mum is doing better and back where you can look after her 🥰 thanks so much for sharing this tutorial - you always give me confidence to try these things 🥰💕
Always so inspirational ! Thank you for all of your time and videos. Always look forward to each video. Glad you are doing better with your knee and your Mom is on the mend. ❤️😊
Very helpful video. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Several ways to make a woven basket but I like your way to make the woven piece flat on the plastic first and then put it on the hub and press it on. I will try this method out. I like the foot. Greetz Sheila ♡
Hi Tiffany I hope you are healing up quickly. I made this berry basket to take to a strawberry festival full of strawberries. Thanks for the inspiration
Oh, my gosh - this is GORGEOUS!! I think this might be a little bit out of my league, though. Once again, you've given me inspiration and a lofty goal. I see some bad words in my future, but I'm willing to try! SO glad your family is doing better. Enough with the excitement now! Still wish I lived closer so I could learn from you in person. Thank you for all that you do!
You should try an adjustable width rolling pasta cutter, it would save some time. I found one on amazon for like $20 that I plan to get for when I make this. I love this project! Thank you
That's an awesome basket. It's added to my projects to try list! Great tips too! I'm curious what method you use to wash your clay towels and apron. Maybe you could do a short video on studio cleaning tips? I don't have a fancy sink with a clay trap where I can rinse things out. So glad your mom is back home, and your knees are getting better! Thanks a million for all that you share! 💜💜💜
In the warmer months, I take a hose or power washer to them. I've even got a kiddie pool that I'll rise then out in. Winter months, I try not to wash them and wait for a sunny day. I'll rise them outside and then throw them in the washer.
@@hobblecreekpottery Thanks Tiffinie! I haven't tried a power washer. Bet that's faster and more efficient than a standard hose. Will have to give a try on a warm day. Which should be real soon here in Albuquerque.
Not sure I have the patience for this one but I do live in the rainforest subtropics with about 99% humidity 99% of the time which would help. Thank you once again another entertaining tutorial Tiffany. Oh and great result too, love the look of the finished product.
I have looked at an old film of the Irish pottery called Belleek an Irish old pottery where they made the most intricate baskets in pottery you can find the vid on you tube and they mix in the clay gum Arabic and you can make the coils spaghetti thin or thick and you can literally wipe the coils around and they don't break I have myself used this method and it is amazing hope this may help with your berry bowls
WOW!!! That was a lot of careful work doing the berry bowl basket!!! Thank you for sharing!! Where may I ask did you purchas the sponge ball? Blessings and healing for your Mom, I know how stressful that is!!! And, you take naps to help with this stress please!!!! God Bless💖...Judy
I’m so glad your mom and your knees are getting better. This was a great video - thanks!!! We’re finally having a few dry, sunny days here in NW Oregon but it’s supposed to start raining again by Thursday so I’ll wait till then to try this. How many coats of the root beer glaze did you use? Mine always seems to come out really dark and yours looks fantastic.

Thanks for the great tutorial.....what size ball did you use 6 or 8 1/2 ??? Thanks so much
The 7 inch ball and the 002 braid.

The plastic? Is that the thick gauge clear vinyl they have you’re talking about?
Yes!
Hey Tiffanie!!
The MKM roller you use in this vid, do you recall the name or number?
The 002 braid. I have a link in the description.
Video seemed little fuzzy. Love your content though and I look forward to seeing a new one each week.
Thank you.
The ball comes in 3 sizes. Which one did you use
