Brilliant comedy. Brilliantly written and acted. Criminally underrated by the London/Manchester press. One the all time greats. Long live Rab. From Rabs English army
Pure class...there is not one bad actor in it....a mix of sadness and gladness...only the classic comedies have all the these elements...wee Burney sadly missed
I was up in Redford Barracks, in the early 80s did a lot of drinking with Jocks, they have the same sense of humour as us “Scousers” there was one pub in Collington there was some Right Balm Pots in there!!! Class Acts ,it was great, Happy Days eh.
Bitter and sad, if I was an actor I wouldn’t be able to spout all that anti God rubbish, God is real Jesus is real and he’s the only way to heaven. There might be some terminally ill person who is dragged down. I used to like the Rab C Nesbit of old.
lol, I know he does, but I’m thinking of some poor soul, with a terminal illness watching this tripe. It’s not well thought out as far as the effects it may have on a vulnerable individual. Before I was saved I was a mini Rab. Mini cos I worked but as to drinking I probably would have given Rab a run for his money. I still love humour, very much. But now I feel that the humour of today has crossed boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed on mainstream television
Watched this with my dad every thursday night when i was a kid reminds me of those times

@@davidcarroll2035 Don't worry Rab finds god. Now and again.

@@davidcarroll2035 everyone reacts differently to a terminal illness. This is just the way he reacted.
