HHN 18 has hands-down the best website Universal has ever done. The way did Bloody Mary's site was something else, truly extraordinary. Following each one of her victims during her sessions and seeing how Mary Agana slowly loses her sanity as well as each victim connected to a house at the event was incredible. Some of the victims were also tied to the scare zones too. They slowly added things to the website as the event was approaching, always giving guests something to come back to. It was great storytelling for the Icon of the event! Having a mirror at the front arches instead of a medallion was fantastic as well. HHN Legacy has a great 2-part documentary on the history of Blood Mary. That level of detail and love is what I want to see again from Universal in terms of immersing their guests even before we arrive to the park itself.
And every single bit of what you wrote is the reason why we need that website back! It fully immerses the guests into the event itself and adds more engagement. We need that level of attention and detail again.
Carnival of carnage and bloody Mary was my favorite. There used to be an archive site where you could revisit them, but I don't know what happened to it. Back in 2009, i gotta inside look with Universal Creative, and they showed me a miniature model they took a picture that was used for the carnival of carnage setting. Hopefully, they will bring that content back! 😢
The website was incredible. There is a saved archive for those websites still out there saved by Horror Night Nightmares. That is how I was able to access them for this video!
We need the site back! It was just so fun seeing the vibe of the event and the lore brought to life. It adds to the hype and excitement leading up to our turns to attend. Not having a seperate site or having it just lumped with the regular universal offerings isn’t the same
I agree that I miss having the opportunity to enjoy the HHN hype for a hour with the elaborate website. It made the event overall fill more unique and more cared about in general
I loved looking at the HHN website even when I didn’t go to HHN. It was so neat to see the lore of the event and the graphics were amazing. And, so much easier to navigate. I was so bummed out when it started taking me to the UO page.
Not a fan of the current setup. We understand it but at the same time, it’s not even that good to operate around. Sort of a pain for HHN. We need the old website to return!
We feel that the website could add so much more to the event itself. Those who experienced it know what we are talking about, and those who haven’t would benefit greatly! Just praying that we can see it’s return in the future!

The main issue we have is that operating the regular website for HHN related things is actually a pain. I miss how fluid it was on the separate site.

I started coming to HHN after the website was already gone but I would love to see them bring it back so we could deep dive into this years event
