Love the vids always, have been training in the Bujinkan in Australia since 1993, and even after all my training still manage to get something out of these, awesome jobs guys, respect from Oz
Love these adaptions descending from the Kata.
Currently training in Muay Thai but had a background in Ninjutsu as a child and it has never left me. Currently trying to prevent myself from being low kicked on the front leg though by the fabulous Muay Thai guys I train with.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😂
1. Tip kick to groin or stomach.
2. Time a cross punch simultaneously, like Ernesto Hoost.
3. Go in and out of distance.

A boxer would never be as dead static as your uke. He would adjust the distance up/down forward/back or change the angle.

Wos great techniques and methods,I started training in Togakure ryu ninjutsu about 8 months ago but hopefully after some years u guys will have some schools in the states and i can take my training to t he next level
Respectfully, just my opinion, but your elbow shield do not save you from boxer, what if boxer do hook punch not a cross? And some kind of angular cross and overhead punches easily pass your elbow and go to the face. Be careful with this type of defense. Just a advice, try to do it against real boxer within friendly training sparring, I did same for all my researches. Your scissor/switch step - set up for lead leg front kick is a very long and frontal it is mean that your kick will come delayed and your groin, stomach, chest and head area open for the kicks and strikes of your opponent. If you fight with the best in their styles than you learn very effective skills. And it is possible do some variations of back hand strikes to jabbing hand for distruction of it. It is a lot of ways how to do it effectively from kali empty hand skills from panantukan, mano mano, pangamut, suntukan and any other from philippino martial arts. Sorry for my english. Completely agree. This master have many creative ideas but i doubt whether he had ever sparred with people, not to mention had real fights. Most of his "techniques" are a waste of time, that only work in theory and will fail miserably in a real fight. However some of his ideas have merits.
Now this really will work. A very good technique and very good instruction.

Hi Akban.
I've always enjoyed the idea and principles of ninjutsu, but I've never been convinced that it is effective until I started watching your videos. The head instructor explains the pros and cons of each move brilliantly and modifies the traditional techniques to keep them useful today......Not to mention has beautiful technique.
I was wondering if you agree that in many schools (one of which I've attended in the past) teach it in an ineffective manner with no aliveness. Does the effectiveness of ninjutsu depend upon the way it is taught?

The usefulness of the training depends on several factors, some of which you mentioned, no energy, no checking in chaotic scenarios etc.
Maybe sometimes, the usefulness is actually aimed for, and what might look un-useful to us is with purpose according to the creed of this particular dojo,

Ive watched a LOT of instructors and none of them made me feel like attending their class. This man, however, i most def would. I really really like his style of teaching as well as his demeanor and subject matter. Judging by the way he carries himself and fluidity of his demonstrations i would have to say that this man truly embodies the knowledge To. Kill. People. I really dont like the more light hearted teaching style. For me personally, i need that cold Straight faced always calm fluid like a machine scholar.

@iApna We agree on all things my friend. If you check even a humble jab, cross combination you might find many problems with that too.
Wether the technique is good or not depends on situation, timing and surprise.

Hello akban it has been awhile since I have logged on. I been praticing the lessons you shown to improve as not only a fighter but a cutivation of the mind. Only in my seperate dream of bodybuilding I fear I may lost speed. Do you have a channel of katas and other ninjitsu practices.? I live in the middle of nowhere amd love ninjitsu but there are no dojo's near me.

Yes it is great option, good groin kick by lead leg when some one try to block or grab the hand. Then cross - hook - cross and finish.

I find it a little bit risky to do this check and block the head for protection becoz you are limiting your view of your oppoenent, it would be better if you use the elbow blocking technique of muay thai chaiya on incoming punch whilst checking the opponent's front fist... any comments?

@lqiyun7 I don't think so. In order to catch the hand you have to commit to inner range.
The most problematic range is just before catching, so one be very accurate in timing this or he gets an inside lowkick just before the move.

I don't think you will be able to protect the face like that with a powerful punch of a good boxer
