TB also has the smart alec which unfortunately has been decommissioned but imo it is one of their best bags and comes with some unique modular attachments
Disposable income can be a thing, and i dont mind spending another 300 to get a back that doesnt bother me and lasts for ever. The older i get, the more im about buy it for life.
Just ordered a TB Synik30 and I’m stoked. Ordered it in Navy Parapak with a mountain grey interior.. I’m hoping I like the material and color in person and I hope the capacity isn’t too large. I am 6’2” so I think it will fit me well
Commentary on the Brain Bag is way too tech focused. Yes, technically, you can fit a lot of laptops in there, but that is weird thing to lean so hard on. The bag is a beast of many burdens. It is especially great for normal one bag travel. Packed out, it maintains the best dimensions for carryon. Synik 30 fully stuffed puffs out to 11”! The BB keeps a nice cube shape calling at 9”. With the compression straps, the BB holds more and carries smaller than given credit for. My favorite load out is stuffing the outer most main compartment with packing cubes, which borrows space from the main compartment closer to your back. This then creates a nice snug laptop compartment. While using a cache, it is so hard to beat.
I’m failing to see why there bags are so insane expensive when their build quality is similar to Jansports or Amazon no name brand bags. Chrome Industries for example has good prices for way way way batter gear. Are these bags just a trendy rich people thing or something?
