Saw them with my son now 25 years old in his second year of medical school. The Power Team left a huge impact in his life and mine. When I look back, being there with my son was one of the happiest moments I can remember. He played football in high sxhool and did powerlifting in college. I always told him, one day you will be part of the Power Team. I think he will, but as a doctor.
They destroyed hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. They traveled with all that and had to set it up. Do you have something against paying people for entertaining you?

The power team came to Roseville Area High School in Roseville MN around 2003. While ripping a phone book one of them yelled out, "it's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steeevvvee!" They had to do an apology over our morning announcements the next day.
God meets people where they are (1 Corinthians 9:19-23). The Power Team is not about violence and destruction but presenting the gospel in a new way. A lot of people assume that church has to be an archaic ritual of repetition and tithing, when in fact it's an experience and a walk with the Lord. The fact is these guys reach demographics that most preachers can't. They aren't the be all of preaching; they're just a handful of God's many chosen ministers.
I came to christ through this team the feats of strength were I signed a wonder. But believe me when they got to their message. I sat there in the over float room sweating 😓 shaking, heart racing, hanging on every word they spoke. Not to mention it literally felt like my heart was being ripped from my chest. I looked at my stepdad and said to him “ when is the alter call. And at that point in my life I didn’t even know what that was because I hadn’t planned on getting saved that night, instead had got there in attempt to debunk them, but I guess that old icy night was my very own Damascus day. I know the Science community would disagree that what I felt that night isn’t proof but again we can agree to disagree on that one. Because it was only later on did I come to understand why my heart felted like it was literally being ripped from my chest. At that very moment Jesus and Satan were engaged in a battle of human tug of war with my heart. Once I accept Christ as my Lord and savior I yanked my hand away from Satan and gave him the unofficial state bird of Texas and leaped into the arms of my Lord and savior and it was at that moment an supernova equivalent explosion went off inside of me, a feeling of peace, feeling accepted, understanding, and forgiveness when coursing through my body is feeling it had a smile engraved on my face a while after

I remember The Power Team! :D They were awesome, I remember watching one a long time ago in my school that I went to and a few times in a Church since I wanted to see them do their awesome stuff they did. I remember getting some of their autographs and a Power Team bandana. They were always awesome and I did enjoy seeing them. They came to my middle school when i was 10 years old. I am now 27. Amazing how time flies yet i still remember this show so vividly.
