Dawn Speelman Pastor Carter Conlon gave a sermon and the thing that stood out the most was that he said, "just tell your story". In other words, just tell what God has done for you. A few days later, I went for a walk at the beach and I remember his word and stopped to speak with a woman. I shared my story of what God had done for me and she gave her life to Jesus Christ. Some may not care to give their lives to Jesus but the seed has been planted and it is God's hands. When they are in trouble or maybe even depressed, I'm sure God will remind them of what we shared with them.

Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. This prayer of calling on the Lord Jesus ( Rom.10:14 ) tells you what to believe to go to heaven : Lord Jesus, I repent; I admit I'm a sinner and I'm sorry. Therefore, I do not trust in my own works to go to heaven because I realize, being a sinner, I cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that you require to pay for sin. Instead, I now fully trust, believing in my heart, that your finished work on the cross, your one perfect blood sacrifice, when you bled, suffered and died, in my place, paid for my sins in full, past, present and future. Dawn Speelman Pastor Carter Conlon gave a sermon and the thing that stood out the most was that he said, "just tell your story". In other words, just tell what God has done for you. A few days later, I went for a walk at the beach and I remember his word and stopped to speak with a woman. I shared my story of what God had done for me and she gave her life to Jesus Christ. Really good movie. Enjoyed it; laid back, but engrossing and interesting. A little hokey, but also dramatic. The surprise ending is the perfect topping to this. Can't get much better than this--mixture of sadness, drama, comedy and doing what's right combined to create a really good movie.

It’s a good point in general though…we need to tell the people in our lives what they need to know while they, and we, are still around - when we’re standing in front of Jesus we’ll have to give an account of the things we *didn’t* do as well as what we did. It’s literally eternity that’s at stake. (I’m reminding myself of that as much as anyone!)
