Eric is such a nice guy and helpful too-He should get more respect. He once forked every major piece o Andrea/Alex- It was hilarious-It's up here somewhere
That was hard to watch! She's trying not to hack up a lung. Personally, it's an informal game and I would have paused the clock. "Let me clear my throat!"
I knew exactly that feeling of needing just one big cough or drag from the inhaler (I also have asthma) to stop the coughing onslaught. But having people around you makes it impossible, especially in the era of Covid. I felt terrible for you, but I was impressed you could keep your concentration!
6:42: "Oh, no, my rook!" I can't tell if he was trying to be humorous or trying to trick her into thinking he blundered. If she had taken his rook with hers at that juncture, it would have been mate in two for him with his other rook, because her king would have been trapped on the back rank by her own pawn and his knight, so she only could have blocked with her rook to delay the inevitable.
In the first game the 7-th move for White should be c3 (not h3) preparing d4, which shuts down the c5 bishop. It`s a common mistake actually. Btw, Eric often plays this.
Eric's a Very tricky/stealthy player to go up against - but Nemo's great at throttling tricky stealth attacks. Nemo's Awesome though: "😂h know my Bishop" 😅👍 ✅.
20:21 I think the winning idea for white here at 20:21 is h6, if black takes white can bring their rook over to control the file first, if black brings their rook over white captures the pawn and there isn't a way to stop one of them queening.
Looks like you were well prepared against Erics Stafford gambit, but still have to give u props for facing it head on, pretty sure if I ever played Eric I'd be going all out to dodge it😁 guaranteed I'd still get mirked tho ,💯
Did Eric blunder at 7:29 by moving his rook to C7, chasing a pawn, and allowing Nemo to fork his king and the other rook? Or was it an intentional sacrifice to gain a positional advantage?
Nemsky, go book yourself an IVC (intravenous vitamin c) immunity boost treatment. They got clinics there in Toronto. Highly recommend you get an iv B-vitamin and/or glutathione shot, too, while you're there. You'll feel great afterwards and cofff will be gone. You can thank me later 😊👍
In an even more balanced situation where chat and cough were not part of the game, maybe the result could be different; but it was very interesting like this. s
16:32 Nothing wrong with winning a pawn. Bxb3? Instead Nxf4, g4, Nxd4, Bxd4, Ne2+ (in between move), Kb1, Nxd4, Rxd4, Bxb3, Rxd7, Bxa4 (0-1). Funny how such strong players can miss something pretty obvious. I know it's blitz but Black wanted to trade and get material off the board (since she was showing a profit in business terms). 20:06 Rd8?? Should lose the game according to the eval bar. e7+, Nxe7, gxh7, Rxd4+, Kd2, Ng8, h8(Q) with an easy win. It's a shame such a cool game came down to move mania as happens in blitz. If they had a 2 or 3 second increment with the number of moves they played there would have been plenty of time for the game to come to a conclusion. (Analysis with assistance by Rybka). I always want to know what the players missed when the eval jumps favorably to one player and then eventually comes back to even. Hey Eric glad you're doing so well in the chess business. My College of DuPage students know all about you.
Was that annoying music playing in the club? Or did you unnecessarily add it to the already bad audio quality? Really, NEVER add music to a video, @akaNemsko !
Nemo: You lose your demeanor against top competition. I see this often in a Graduate Students, Get a mentor to help, you have too much talent to waste.

5:55 Nemo started dying 💀
YEP
the eyes watering and everything, but the water was a godsend.
He is such a great chess player
She's got beauty, and brains. They should play it out the rest of the game, for the fans. It looks like she can still defend this position.

Why and how did the first game end, after black's move with the rock? It's not over, right?
Lol shoutout to the Waterloo students meeting their math 135 TA

Enjoyed that ending. Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
16:33 U could trap his queen with ur white bishop but u traded it with his resting knight

at 12:42 how about Be6 to g4 to win the game?
@6:42 oh no my rook in person 😂
who won the first match?
Awesome match nemo and eric
10:29 the reveal here felt like a Stan Lee cameo (may he rest in peace)
Did Eric blunder at 7:29 by moving his rook to C7, chasing a pawn, and allowing Nemo to fork his king and the other rook? Or was it an intentional sacrifice to gain a positional advantage?
Looks like just a blunder while rushing to keep her under time pressure. But he flagged her anyway.
@@greencreature Yeah, that's what I thought as well. Thanks.
Very seasonal... With the background of all the chess nuts boasting in an open foyer.
At 20:23, would bh4 have pinned the rook to the king? Thanks in advance.
Amusante, très exubérante. Mais est-ce vraiment jouer aux échecs ?

You turn down a free rook at 6:45
Rook C1 is mate if she takes it
@@svenreulen1528 Dude I didn't see that.. Nice 👍
The last minute is so chaotic!
He is very good
Nemo is in nervous keep drinking water in the second match keep calm 😜
She was coughing in literally the whole first game
charming Nemo 😍
Oh no Nemo coughing 😢😢
I think if she focused on the game instead of engaging in small talk, she would have won.
Um.... no. He's a league above her.
"I'm really jealous of your center"
