To be very honest, I wasn't drawn to the female lead in DoTS. At all. Kim Ji won as Myung Joo had such a presence on screen that you couldn't look away from her. Dr Kang was...bland, feeble and didn't really seem very convincing or someone whose emotions I could relate to. No offense to any fans of either actresses but yeah. I tried to understand why she was a female lead instead of Myung Joo.

Kim Ji Won definitely overshadowed SHK in DOTS. SHK was good on her early days as an actress. And it was only when she was casted in DOTS she regained her fame back. Well, big thanks to Song Joong Ki, right? I think she isn't that buzzworthy anymore before DOTS. He was actually the reason why DOTS was a huge hit. A top tier actor paired with the pretty actress. I find Kim Ji Won prettier actually.
