- The Minecraft 1.21: Tricky Trials update brings twelve new songs from various artists, including Lena Raine, Kumi Tanioka, and Aaron Cherof! Precipice is likely a new music disc, but its source is currently unknown.
The music disc texture in the thumbnail was designed by me, based on the Minecraft Monthly footage! The official texture has not yet been released.

Interestingly, despite Lena Raine being the only one of the three 1.21 artists to have worked on the Deltarune OST with Toby Fox, this track was instead made by Aaron Cherof.
it took me a lonnnng time to see the resemblance to undyne's theme. its definately giving me vibes, but vibes that predate undertale. I wouldnt be surprised if it WASNT inspired by undertale, but undertale being as popular as it is, i cant fault people fro making the connection.

The Moog City reference at 3:11 gave me CHILLS holy shit. Aaron absolutely blew it out of the water with this one, it's taken me a while to warm up to this 'new sound of Minecraft' but I'm really enjoying the recent additions.

Honestly Toby could easily do the OST for a Minecraft update. Not only are Undertale and Minecraft's soundtracks perfect matchs for each other, but Lena Raine (basically the now main composer of the MC OST) also did the ost for one of Toby's games, Deltarune.

This song is very clearly inspired by Cobalt Core, another game Aaron Cherof did the ost for. If you haven't heard the Cobalt Core ost you should 100% check it out.

Yoo, I love Strad too! And Stal, and Far.. Those are really nostalgic to me for obvious reasons. But I do love the new ones: Pigstep, Otherside, and Relic, they’re fire as well- and now these THREE new music discs are following in their tracks. I think this one’s my new favorite.

This is literally a,
"Why do I hear boss music?" Moment
I found a small detail: the beginning of Precipice is very, and I mean VERY, similar to the beginning of the song "Battle Against A True Hero" from Undertale. Here are the similarities:
1) main melody (the loop part is almost identical to the one from Undertale)
2) after exactly 2 repetitions of the main part, the melody thickens with the sounds of a ticking clock and some synths (also very similar to Undertale, except that Undertale uses choir and vocal sounds instead of synths)
3) And finally, after exactly 6 repetitions of the main melody, the drop follows.
To be clear: I'm not accusing Aaron Cherof of copying, because it's most likely just a coincidence. I just thought it was worth mentioning.
I mean what's wrong with taking inspiration anyways, right?
