I am so surprised about the shrimp. Especially the part of the workers taking out the veins. That is just a repeated set by step. You have to have good eyes too! My hats go off to them. I always thought that machines did mostly all the work like that. Guess not.

you'll find there's a LOT of products that you might assume are automated but in fact are made by low paid workers, who have to produce ridiculously high amounts per hour to obtain enough money to buy basics like rice to eat & a 1 room "house" for 5-10 people to live in, complete with dirt floor & shared outside hole in the ground to shit in.
There was a British tv series many years ago "blood sweat & takeaways" that showed the processes involved in farming & processing prawns & other foods people take for granted but that actually involve a lot of hard manual labour

@@Skorpychan yup, well technically shrimp is a different species that looks similar to prawns, but is much smaller, growing to about 2cms total length (less than an inch for those that call them shrimp) so yeh, these are certainly prawns, not shrimp, as are basically all commercially sold & eaten ones

The personnel decapitating shrimps contact with a product of 10°, the norm for upper limbs is 27° - comfort. Minimum contact can be with 16° dry and 22° wet. Very difficult working conditions, gradually it can cause disability of workers' limbs and respectively burden for society.
