How can the character portraits look so good, while having the actual in-game models look worse than the flash version of a 2008 game with a budget too small even to buy a single paid plant on its own future sequel is just beyond me
@@Looona_fan I bet a well made set of portraits for one character should cost _at least_ 4× more than a small plant sprite that has only two dead simple animations
100%'d PvZ1. I know PvZ2 gets a lot of flak but I was able to enjoy it all the way to the end of Modern World. Its premise is simple and allowed for a lot of unique zombie types. This? The inability to change plants and excessive focus on a "story" killed my interest too soon. Its like the Banjo-Kazooie Nuts N Bolts of the PvZ franchise.
Pvz somehow managed to get hit by two nuts and bolts in the form of bfn and pvz 3 and thats impressive. Maybe i'd be less critical of both if ot didnt feel like the series was one step in the grave already.
PvZ 1: favorite game in the franchise, it gives you time to build up your defenses and you get a new plant to play with after each level (except the x-4 levels, because it doesn't give new plants before minigates). The difficutly is a bit low, but it allows you to replay the game with self-imposed restrictions, which is enjoyable to me. PvZ 2: The levels have a faster pace and you only unlock plants once ever ~7 levels, which can make them feel repetitive, and I absolutely hate all the micro transactions, but the base adventure does have a bigger challenge that still feels fair to face, the levels themselves just end up feeling more like an actual game because of it. PvZ 3: Levels are even faster paced and don't feel like a satisfying challenge to beat, the micro transactions are being doubled down upon and it now takes about 20-30 levels per plant unlock. While I don't think PvZ 2 is a bad game, I just can't help but feel like the mainline games have been heading into a downward trajectory from the very beginning.
@@LucyTheBox all jokes aside, my personal favorite is pvz1 mostly because I like being able to build a proper defense. pvz2 (and especially 3 from the looks of it) have a habit of making levels end quickly. the microtransactions really don't help and price out people who just want to work with what they've got without excessive grinding or spending money.
@@Megukagi2 also doesn't really have a proper survival mode where you can build to hold the line. There are the world challenge things like pyramid of doom but they reset your defense every level and give you a rather limited selection you have to build up rather than actually send certain match ups of zombies to catch the player of guard like a combo of miners and pogos. Really every pvz game after 1 failed to utilize how fun modes like i zombie (imagine 2 variety of i zombie) or survival were. Shame as i really like 2's plants and artstyle.

Glad to have been part of these livestreams, the absolute insanity caused due to the lore made watching it hysterical, and i think everyone should give the vods a chance. With that said, just like i've already stated during the live event, this game is everything bad with mobile gaming these days. I really do sincerely hope that when the devs were making the game, they weren't hoping to make something like this, and what we got is simply a product of what the higher ups thought would make more money. Although i had fun watching you play the game, i can confidently say that it was for all the wrong reasons, like the bad optimization, the insane lore, the comically unbalanced difficulty among other things.

Honestly, I wouldn't even hate the game if the Classic PvZ half of the Gameplay was made natural again. Choosing your plants, Replaying levels, *Actual thought and effort put into the levels themselves.* I would bear the Gardenscape half if I could just play classic PvZ again, really
One of my biggest small annoyances with this game is Crazy Dave's dialogue. It was at its best and most iconic at PvZ 1, PvZ 2 toned it down a lot and Dave almost became just "stupid", but I wouldn't call it character assassination like I would PvZ 3, making him do the cringy "weird words" gimmick like that's what Crazy Dave is about. The first PvZ was for all ages. PvZ 2 was a bit more directed to a younger audience, but still intended to satisfy all players. PvZ 3 is only for literal small children.
I genuinely cannot believe that the other beta (not the first one that actually did have some fun ideas but just needed some tweaking, the one just before this one) was universally hated and criticized extensively, and yet, I see practically 0 differences or addressals of those criticisms. This is it. The final nail in the coffin. Before we could at least pretend that they cared, but thats just all gone now. RIP PvZ, you were one of the greats.
The Fact that there hasnt been an insect zombie called a zom-bee that spawns zombie plants when it kills something to fight for the zombies is a tragedy
I find it sort of disappointing to see that no one is acknowledging that the only reason Mo became a child murderer was because of the Z-Tech Hak Pak, not by his own volition.
I dont like how Dave was turned into someone that can coherently talk now and act like mostly a normal guy that says weird words, when he clearly seemed insane and crazy in the first game and even in the second... he has been compeltley yassified
Mo is tied for V1 ULTRAKILL for my most ultraviolent machines list Edit: This game's lore overall is just a nightmare. Not even in like a "they expand too much" way, it's in a "there are indescribable horrors committed to become the hero" way

How can the character portraits look so good, while having the actual in-game models look worse than the flash version of a 2008 game with a budget too small even to buy a single paid plant on its own future sequel is just beyond me
Money
@@Looona_fan I bet a well made set of portraits for one character should cost _at least_ 4× more than a small plant sprite that has only two dead simple animations
A moment for Creeps' sanity. He had to witness the abomination that is PvZ3 😔
And Mo
@@Angel_Alph-TVMo is canonically a mass murderer. Popcap cannot change our minds
Considering that the bar for the game was already 6 feet under ( or however that idiom went ), I'd say the writing somehow managed to pass it.
Theory: This game is infinitely more fun if you imagine all of the weird noises dave makes as davish for swear words.
That’s genuinely what I thought those were because it’s a common trope
I think PvZ3 really succeeds at making me want to play PvZ2

2:36 I like how you say "User Dave" out of instinct. Penny really has rotted our minds
Penny was a blessing in the pvz world, she deserved better.
Finally, some good storytelling. Mo the serial killer. Child soldiers. Warcrimes. Truly the pinnacle of storytelling
Jesus Christ this story is delightfully gruesome. Mo has the potential to be one of the most powerful ‘antagonists’ of our time.
Maybe i'd be less critical of both if ot didnt feel like the series was one step in the grave already.
ngl the only way to experience the pvz3 story is when you're high as a kite and probably have some friends to laugh at it with
PvZ 1: favorite game in the franchise, it gives you time to build up your defenses and you get a new plant to play with after each level (except the x-4 levels, because it doesn't give new plants before minigates).
RCCH stream: Omg this game is so bad, hold on is this a "sus" ad? *Proceeds to get canned his stream
Creeps Stream: Guys do you know that plants know how to talk, meaning that Mo is actually destroying intelligent being as babies? But that just a theory, a PvZ theory!
Then end stream to calm down a little
I just realized something...
The baby plants could've died because of the Z-Fog right?
@@alexanderrussell2927 Well knowing how plants such as trees actually survived Z-Fog... But Yeah thats sound like a good justification Mo would say for his war crimes, you have a point.
Who is roch and why are people sayin he is bad? Genuine question
@@titoheart6824 RCCH is a channel based on PvZ1 content. Mainly challenges and hards mods.

Having been part of the stream, i like how they kinda made it PVZ1 sun meta, just shrinked the sun values everywhere.
Yet the pacing is faster than pvz 2
PvZ1: I Will have long levels even if my sun is low, so It may feels like making your own defense bit by bit and players don't feel overwhelmed!

Pvz + gardenscapes + Fnaf 3 = pvz3
I love how it’s canon that mo is a registered war criminal in the pvz universe
Basically mo is secretly a villain
It's impressive how popcap managed to make pvz 3 have an even faster pace than pvz2 but still feels there is less going on than pvz1's adventure mode (unless its the later levels then the game is so insanely hard it almost forces you to use power ups at some points).
"if you're familiar with GardenScapes, you know what I'm talking about" that is NOT a sentence I wanna hear in a PVZ video

BFN was good fym
Bfn was disliked because it wasn’t a gw game. Pvz3 is disliked because it could have been a good game, but was made in every wrong way
@@autismandgaming4532Bfn was disliked because its an inferior gw game.
When you take most of your modes and mechanics from a previous game and than do them worse its no suprise fans rejected it.
The upgrade system was never going to live up to variants in gameplay (ignoring the fact that some of them were just variant/alt abilities but less thought out to begin with) and the maps werent as deep as they were in previous games (compare tourist trap island to driftwood shores and its no competition what map is more interesting).
We have less variety in ops and spawnables than we did in gw1.
Maybe players would be more lenient to it if it wasnt the game the series fell on with no true gw3 in sight.
@@superbrainz2357did they ever actually say it was meant to be a direct sequel to gw2? I've always liked it bc I look at it as just a pvz shooter not tied to gw
Imo it just feels nicer to play and feels more fluid, but I do wish there was more support for it
@@Josho0oIt's called gw3 in the files and even uses gw2 assests like the giga Torchwood is just the gw2 model with no light shading on it. The game even mentions yeti king in one of the pve medals.
Most of the game is built off of gw mechanically and the concepts of the scrapped project hot tub game.
I found the game a lot worse to play imo. Gw was never perfect but the hit reg feels far worse in bfn and alot of the animations and lighting were downgraded like the z mech explosion in 2 having it actually blows apart where in bfn it just adds random screws to fly around while the mech itself stays or how the back of imps blasters dont even open/his lights on his helmet and vest not working.
The matches also feel needlessly dragged out or altered like the unnecessary suburbination changes.
Everytime I read Crazy Daves dialogue, overtime I'm developing a stroke, aneurysm, and a headache all in one
My favorite part of UTY3 is when Crazy dave taco blasted MO after he heard they killed the peashooter
I know. Crazy Dave just went in Gun Blazing! It was the End Of The Line_ for Mo, I guess.
I knew that Retribution had to be delivered the moment these bozos changed crazy Dave to just “Dave”. The only way they could Remedy their wrongdoings is by undergoing a Trial By Fury which involves constant patch updates, even if it leads them to having No MOney
And man, the part of the game after the apprehension of Mo where you have to find a remedy that can regrow all of those plants Mo killed was so much fun!
What is UTY3?

“Like, Zoinks, Mo, those were innocent civilians!”
Why is Mo… The Robot behind the Slaughter

There are only 2 things I learned about this video
1: wow game looks bad
2: Creeps is the best voice actor, especially when unhinged
Edit: also that line about "god may have given up on us, but I have not, for I am no god, I am a man of action" goes kinda hard and I love it
Also include; Mo is a serial killer and murdered children.
Crazy Dave was such a cool character now he just goes "glappa gorpa borp zirp zirp😂" every two sentences
I want the villain of PvZ3
*Zombies*
I said the _real_ villain
*Zomboss*

*Mo*
Honestly, I wouldn't even hate the game if the Classic PvZ half of the Gameplay was made natural again. Choosing your plants, Replaying levels, *Actual thought and effort put into the levels themselves.*
I would bear the Gardenscape half if I could just play classic PvZ again, really
Same, the story is peak "so bad it's good" imo
One of my biggest small annoyances with this game is Crazy Dave's dialogue. It was at its best and most iconic at PvZ 1, PvZ 2 toned it down a lot and Dave almost became just "stupid", but I wouldn't call it character assassination like I would PvZ 3, making him do the cringy "weird words" gimmick like that's what Crazy Dave is about. The first PvZ was for all ages. PvZ 2 was a bit more directed to a younger audience, but still intended to satisfy all players. PvZ 3 is only for literal small children.
26:40 that line goes so hard I forgot this was about a lawnmower in a kids game
The Moblieration was REAL
why did I read it as "Morbliteration"
I genuinely cannot believe that the other beta (not the first one that actually did have some fun ideas but just needed some tweaking, the one just before this one) was universally hated and criticized extensively, and yet, I see practically 0 differences or addressals of those criticisms.
This is it. The final nail in the coffin. Before we could at least pretend that they cared, but thats just all gone now. RIP PvZ, you were one of the greats.

I really hope Mo ends up becoming the twist villain final boss of the game somehow.

my fav moment from the game is when mo said "it's moing time!" and moed all over the place
I really felt that when he said "That's normal for lawnmowers."
The Fact that there hasnt been an insect zombie called a zom-bee that spawns zombie plants when it kills something to fight for the zombies is a tragedy
Mo maybe killed the baby plants but remember, their souls always follow Mo
Plant Younglings: "Master Mo, they're everywhere. What are we going to do?"
Seeing Dave talking normally feels very cursed, even though it’s just text
I find it sort of disappointing to see that no one is acknowledging that the only reason Mo became a child murderer was because of the Z-Tech Hak Pak, not by his own volition.

Usually when people put “I did this thing and went crazy” it’s clickbait. But this video wasn’t kidding, and that why I love it.
Dave raises plant child soldiers
it went from "yay, Tugboat! :D" to "MO, NO, DON'T KILL THE YOUNGLINGS!!" real damn fast...

Edit:LMAO I JUST SAW THE CHAPTER NAME
I dont like how Dave was turned into someone that can coherently talk now and act like mostly a normal guy that says weird words, when he clearly seemed insane and crazy in the first game and even in the second... he has been compeltley yassified
Wait-THEY’RE ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGING COMIC CHARACTERS?!?
Mo is tied for V1 ULTRAKILL for my most ultraviolent machines list

We must never forget Mo’s grassacre
Mo cannonically vapes Zom-fog.
