    Not every body comment is shaming (rolls eyes) she is addressing things that women deal with. She is precious and the video was a good one to show us the different ways to wear the skirts

    I don't think she was body shaming at all! She was honestly talking about her body and didn't seem bothered by it.

    Okay, but can we just talk for a moment about how not just the sari is beautiful, but putting it with the red dress makes for an absolutely gorgeous outfit?

    This was super helpful. I've owned two of these skirts for 4 years and never even gave them a chance because they always ended up so bulky and weird looking. THANK YOU for solving the " can i make it a dress" issue.

    I love your business concept. I found my way here because I love yarn and have been crocheting since I was thirteen. I started to watch the videos and decided to subscribe.

    Fun, unpretentious video.....most of us want something fun and flattering...with a bit of class that will set our garment apart from the made in you-know-where ugliness that seems to be the norm these days. It was interesting that you are very honest and humorous about your current state pf physical conditioning, without conveying a sense of shame, as far as I was concerned. I will be buying a set!!!!

    Thanks for the instructions, but I wish you weren't so self-conscious and body shaming :(talking about pooches, belly fat, etc is really awful.) I bought the sari skirt to feel beautiful not to worry about my belly. I turned the video off at 5:10 because I didn't want my 10 year old daughter to hear anymore body shaming.

    • @angiebee2225
      @angiebee2225 8 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Being honest and talking about what she wants to hide is not shaming. It is being real, and there is nothing wrong with that. We should dress in ways that accentuate the good and cover the less good and being willing to share helps others see things they can do with the skirts to achieve similar results. Body shaming is telling someone they are worthless because their body is imperfect. Reality shaming is telling someone they can't even mention body fat for fear of hurting someone's feelings. I think her attitude is actually healthy based on her treatment of her own body.

      I reckon it's all about perspective. I have the "pooches", belly fat and all that. And I personally thought it was very nice the way she talks about all these "issues" saying "IF" you have this and "IF" you want to hide it... I also thought that since she does have a full figure, such as myself, she is accentuating her curves when she feels like it. Might I point out, respectfully, that if Mom (you) didn't shield her daughter from certain issues (like those problem areas of the body that every woman deals with)....then maybe the daughter wouldn't feel there was a problem with it. As the parent of 7 children...3 of those are daughters...I've found that the very things we try to keep from our kids are the things they're going to pick up on. Loosen up a bit, Mom. This was an opportunity for you to have a discussion with your daughter. But you missed it by turning off the video.

      Do we really need to keep LOOKING for ways to be offended? Body shaming? Just another pop psych buzz word. Its just the same as the 'don't judge me' crap. I got news for ya, everybody judges everything every day. Its what has allowed the human race to evolve beyond apes. If we didn't make judgements about things the bigger, badder inhabitants of this planet would have swallowed us up a long time ago.
