The review was so useful thanks for that. Just one thing it is not 2,74 grams it is 2,074. The manufacturer states that it wights without the bag 1,96. it is a difference of 11 grams (the weight of the bag).
Hey, thanks for the comment! The tent weighs 2074 g with the bag, while the manufacturer states 1960 g- so that is 114g difference. I am not a fan of providing weight "without the bag" or "without the poles" - when I go camping, I take the whole package and I expect to be informed how much the whole package weighs. Otherwise it's misleading, at least for me.
keep in mind that there is always a 5% margin, whatever you buy. For example my 3x3 meter DD Tarp is 770g, while other owners tell me theirs is 850g. One time luck was on my side. xD 114g margin is in the acceptable range for a shelter like this. Annoying, yes, but no reason to complain, as this is totally normal all over the world, with every manufacturer. btw your review is fantastic, I am thinking about buying this tent. For solo use only, because (another universal constant) when a manufacturer says it fits 2, it will fit one plus gear. Always. every manufacturer. worldwide. we just have to get used to it xD
Thank you so much for this review, especially mentioning the hole between the zippers! Now - beause of ticks - I have a good reason to buy a more expensive tent :)
You say it's not really suitable for colder temperatures, but if you use a good winter sleepingbag, do you think the tent would still be a problem? Thanks
The problem that was pointed out to me is that the outside flysheet creases quite a bit (which is true) and in those creases ice will form, which then becomes problematic. I must admit I have a very limited experience in winter camping, so I cannot really validate or deny that.
@@HARDYSFISHINGADVENTURES same here, slept in -20 celcius degrees (not european weather) and was great👍 However, I'd never say that it has a lot of space in it! This is very tiny expedition tent, rather not for normal camping (even though I am 1,5meters long). That's why it's so light.
Great review. My wife and I are experienced day hikers but are looking to start overnight wild camping. We don't want to spend a lot of money on a tent until we know if we enjoy it or not. Would you recommend this tent as a good start?
I have just come back (yesterday) from a three day/three night trip in the mountains. Two nights I was wild camping but I took the Buzzard (also have the review of it). Quickhiker is just too thin for this time of year. So to answer your question: - if you plan to camp only in warm weather, I definitely recommend it (especially with the price factor); - if for you wild camping = stealth camping (as it did for me), it may be better to go with a dark green tent because you will usually camp in green environment; that being said, the grey colour blends suprisingly well, especially when the sun is lower in the sky.
When on GR20 in Crosica, we slept through some pretty heavy winds (with powerfull gusts) in Vango Helix. I have its review as well, I can vouch for it. In this tent (quickhiker) I have not gone through anything extreme and I would be heistant. It does not seem the best choice for Iceland, especially that it's not free standing and I understand that is good to have over there.
Thanks for your kind words :) As for the tent, the review is pretty fresh so I would buy it but only if you hike in rather warm/medium climate. Who knows, maybe I'll find something more versatile in the future...
Thanks for the comment! To be honest, the things you mentioned have generally not been a problem for me but it is a question of personal preference, of course.
I love how small it is but still, if there is just a small chance that bugs are gonna get in through that zipper im scraping it :D I found Quick Hiker Fresh & Black 2 person tent now, 1kg heavier but has the stuff i'm looking for doors and wings on both sides, 1 zipper, the rest is pretty much the same. Thx for the review
Excellent review. Thank you.
what a great, professional and thorough review! very much appreciated! :)
Great video and thanks for sharing all your excellent knowledge
MY pleasure, hope it's helpful!
Great review, i just orderd one! Looked like a lot of tent for that price!

Good honest review, mate. I like the tent and think for my needs it's ideal 👍 Atb
Najlepsza końcówka :) :) ...Fajna prezentacja ;)

Bardzo dobra. Recenzja pozdrowjenia.
Great review. Tnx! I'm gonna buy it.
Is this a finalmouse?

it sets up drum tight and is good for nearly all weather except heavy snow but iv slept in freezing in mine and still ok

Nice job, thank you both 👍
Nice review. You say there is a lot of space in the tent but what is your height? My height is 6.2 ft / 190cm would I fit comfortable?
As mentioned in the video, I am 178 cm

Masz doświadczenia z namiotem Coelman Aravis 2??? był bys wstanie porównać go z Quichiker ultralight 2

What is your height? Thank you!
Hi, have you tried the tent in strong winds? I'm wandering if it can withstand the icelandic weather.

Thanks for the reply. I think the same about the free standing. My other option is Husky Flame 2, but it's quite heavy - more than 3 kg
Very good review. Wanted to buy it but dont think it will be good in a cold russian winter.
Good review. Can you tell me your length?
Ooops, I can't believe I forgot to mention my height (if that's what you mean) :P I'm 178 cm, so that's ca. 5 feet 10 in.

It's 4000mm water resistant*
not 2000
Does it protect from rain?
Great video, very helpful. Would you still buy this tent? Thanks!

thanks
I like how the tent is compact but, holy hell the small things like the 2 zips, no mesh cover... completely put me off from buying this

Great for Grindr hook-ups
is not a good tend. the wind can come inside
Can't hear you! Music too loud.
for you comment on the ability of a tent i suggest you learn to pitch it right
That's a very helpful suggestion!
Excellent review. Thank you.
