Personally I’ve noticed wingspan matters a lot on getting plucks too.. I’ve played a 6’2 6’4 wingspan with 96 steal and a 6’6 with much higher wingspan with 85 steal and the 6’6 gets just as many plucks if not more
it has too i’ve had boards tipped or ripped from my hands over my head after having them boxed and if i had an inch or two more on my wing span there’s no way they’d hit it
I agree with testing. Think we already have some results from this test, it did affect vertical steals because rebounding is a vertical game it should affect it too.
Tutes can u please test if motion styles affect the get open mechanic (off ball speed boost by double tapping rt/r2) if you also can in the vid, test if speed/agility affect it other than slippery offball
3:43 you forgot to test height + wingspan. Does a 6’3 w gold intercepter catch less steals than a 6’11 w bronze ? Does agility play a factor? Cmon tutes the engagement is down because the insights are down
dude, he takes HIS time to test that shit and you're literally saying, the work you've done is not enough. IT IS enough. If you want him to do that, pay money
@ he gets paid by the amount of engagement he gets which is why he makes sure to let everyone know that numbers aren’t where they should be. @@AlexanderWomack-hq2hn i mean i did tests for myself, i know how much time these tests consume. Alot. I played NBA2K19 on PC just to see how OP hall of fame cpu defense was. I liked defense and the game. I played 2000 hours since then. Played before but most of my hours come after servers shutdown. my career, blacktop with almost all players, my league. tested all jumpshots for myself with all different speeds, tested different badges with 2-3 gamepads which my sister would use to help me with all testings. Used better editing with cheat tools to be able to upgrade attributes because in offline cap breakers aren't a thing its just non existing and you can't upgrade build fully and build a complete 99 ovr player in mycareer and not only that, tested sliders stuff etc. Just for example, badge test for pick pocket. Took me like 6 hours. And I didn't knew about mechanic which i discovered for myself. Stealing with certain threshold of STEAL attribute and badge level higher than silver have different animations that are guarantee 100% steal or foul, depending of game wants foul you, even with a back to back same animations which in one case secures the ball and other is foul. I just get offended by people who say "test that and this" without trying to do it by themselves. Saying that youtube gives him money for views is irrelevant as any normal person can have lack of engagement in the "6-8 hours or more" tests that have to be regularly to not let his channel die because it was built on tests. Also "Cmon tutes the engagement is down because the insights are down" - in the game where you can have perfectly trained finger and still have INPUT LAGS ON ANIMATIONS. a lot of missed shots just because... game doesnt want to give green window + bad servers with latency + ALL game animations that live by rule - sometimes we will happen with certain inputs, sometimes we will not appear even if all have done perfectly. Isn't strange that people dont want to watch videos about tests if game is BAD and they can't play it.
Wingspan definitely matter for everything defensively. I figured it out in the beginning of the year so I made a 5’9 with max wingspan and a 6’3 with one inch from max wingspan. The contest you get is glaringly different, the lane steals and on ball steal will go up by a mile. Also you can shoot over people at a higher rate too.
Just how often do each of the different shot timing variables occur? (Potential seasonal video) maybe even look for the things that help you recognize which is which.
2k Tutes, Can you please test the latency for 2k25 on TV vs Monitor so we know for sure if there is in fact a major benefit for shooting ? I recently switched from my monitor 390hz to my 86” TV and it felt basically the same shooting given that 2k is capped at 60hz anyways, seems like Ethernet vs Wifi has a much bigger impact on Shooting latency than Monitor vs TV. Would love to see the test though on this topic if possible. Thank you!
Animation wise probably not , but effectiveness yes, I have 10 centers and will tell you my maxed out wingspan centers are better shot blockers than my low wingspan centers
Animations are not the key. There's already a video showing the impact of wingspan for blocks. It matters just not as much as the other factors. I can tell you that my 7'4 wingspan center with a 93 block and 84 vert doesn't swat like my 7'6 wingspan with 93 block and 84 vert.
Can you test whether height affects ability to get contact dunk animations? I’ve seen 6’4 builds get much more contact dunk animations than taller builds.
i’ve been saying for years that 2k needs to add wingspan and weight requirements for badges. no reason short minimum wingspan players should be able to get interceptor. just like there’s no reason for max weight wings to have lightning launch. pick dodger shouldn’t be tied to just perimeter D. strength should play a factor.
Could you test if wingspan could correlate with shooting somehow to me personally it feels easier to green with a longer wingspan I have 2 builds with 7'0+ wingspan and i can consistenly green on them but my builds with like a 6'7 wingspan are way more inconsistent to me
You’re not tripping, it feels like the shorter arms have less travel time going to their set point of the shot which is harder to time compared to longer arms (easier to distinguish the correct cue)
I have legend interceptor on my 99 steal 6'3 pg it does not work it never ever grabs the ball hof interceptor doesn't work on my 6'7 lock either with 95 steal
I have a 6'6 max wing span 99 steal lock and another 6'8 92 steal backend and my 6'8 gets way better two hand catch animations and blitz/bump steals it makes no sense
In addition I would like to add that since SGA is available to small guards as well, it would be a pretty good time investment to test, especially since no other channel has covered the topic in terms of raw statistic data.
that's really why i dont buy nba 2k after 2k19. Watched all 2k20-2k25 videos on youtube, but like I never understand how each year it seems all those people who say " i wont buy 2k next year" BUYING it, just to see if something changed... they only change animations, and speed of movement each year, so you can't feel that its the same game...
It should be common sense but I see that ain’t something we have here anymore. Longer winspan has every benefit except shooting attributes….with a 7’5 wingspan and a 45 steal rating I can get bump steals really good hands up steal good and some pass lane steals. It also helps trigger dunks more often and from farther away .
Personally I’ve noticed wingspan matters a lot on getting plucks too.. I’ve played a 6’2 6’4 wingspan with 96 steal and a 6’6 with much higher wingspan with 85 steal and the 6’6 gets just as many plucks if not more
is it safe to assume that wingspan also doesn’t impact rebounding? that would be huge for big men
it has too i’ve had boards tipped or ripped from my hands over my head after having them boxed and if i had an inch or two more on my wing span there’s no way they’d hit it
He’s being sarcastic
@@TTVxICEYi mean wingspan affects how much steal and rebound attributes you can have so it’s a valid question.

Nah small arms fall short if you don’t have the ratings 85 rebound small arm vs big
We appreciate the work and testing you put in tutes! Much appreciated!
Thanks man! Any chance to expand that test for other points of gameplay? Like dunking, on ball steals, shot contest, etc
Please test the impact of max+1 on badges.. ex.
87/89 driv dunk with Max +1 to get gold poster.. (contact dunk success) vs 93 driv dunk (gold. Poster)
2klabs have the data for that on their website under badge testing
Tutes can u please test if motion styles affect the get open mechanic (off ball speed boost by double tapping rt/r2) if you also can in the vid, test if speed/agility affect it other than slippery offball

it affects
Is the wingspan affects the on ball steals?

Can you do wingspan and rebounding please?
Did they nerf the 91 steal rating
Should for short players not tall players with long arms
Game is silly
I think so. My 96 steal guard constantly gets fouls. But my characters that have 85 or 79 get way more steals
