Sherwin Williams has a primer that is amazing. The people there can show you which one it is. They always have 30% or 40% sales, so the price is not as bad.
Depends what you are trying to do- if you have a single stain that you want to address, try to find out what the stain is (food, dirt, other paint, etc.) if you take a soft brush (very soft like a gentle type toothbrush) and use some plain Dawn dish soap with warm water, it could help remove the stain. Don’t scrub crazy hard- use small circles. Once you rinse, if you still see a stain, try plain baking soda with the gentle brush. Wet the brush and dip it into some dry baking soda and do the same circular motion. I have the same problem and I’ve used the magic eraser but yes it does remove paint for sure.
You aren't the first person that I've heard that from, but I have never had that problem and I only use latex paint. I have done entire walls with Magic Eraser and it only takes off the dirt. I'm so sorry that you have that problem.
I use the sham wows at Dollar Tree and cut them to fit my swiffer wet jet mop. I also use the dollar tree fabuloso and refill the swiffer bottle. Works great to mop my floors
Robyn Williams How did you do that? How do you refill the bottle? I tried and I couldn’t take of the lid. So I put the pink pinalen diluted with water in a spray bottle and that’s how I use the swiffer wet jet mop for now. I do own a regular mop as well for deeper cleaning.
Wanted to leave a little cleaning tip, especially for those who want to save some money and/or use something gentler to clean their tub and shower. I'd seen it mentioned many times, and finally tried it last year. Sprinkle some baking soda and add some Dawn dish liquid (other quality dish liquids would probably work), then swish some water in, and clean with a cloth or sponge. I've used so many different products the past 30 years, and was never completely happy with any of them. This, however... perfection! I seriously couldn't believe how well it gets off soap scum. Why did I wait so long to try it?! A handy tool, btw...Vileda (and maybe someone else) has a sponge on a handle that's about 2 feet long. The sponge end pivots, and the sponge is removable and replaceable. Total game changer for anyone who has physical problems cleaning that space. 😊
Hey Bethany! Awesome video as always! I just want to let you know that the dollar tree oven cleaner is a really great product. The best way to use it is to heat your oven first then spray the oven, just follow the directions on the can. But MOST importantly, that product has LYE as the main ingredient and will burn your skin! And you should not inhale it! So next time maybe don’t use it when you’re pregnant, and wear gloves and a mask. If you read the back label of it you’ll see that it gives the warnings about the Lye. I used it earlier this year in January to clean my friend’s oven and I couldn’t even stay in the room while it was penetrating the oven while cleaning. And I definitely had to use those long kitchen gloves and some of it still got up on the high part of my arms and made me itch and I had to wash them right away. So please be careful! But if you do clean the oven using the warm method, you only have to wipe the grease once and it comes right off. You will not have to respray again. It really is amazing! I hope you don’t take any of my comments as being condescending or criticizing. I’m just trying to be helpful. I care about you and your health and your baby! Please take care of yourself! And I hope that you Matt and baby and the rest of your family are staying safe and well!💟🤗🙏
Lol Brianna. Well when baby comes, I'm sure things will change. Since it's just Matt and I for the most part things stay clean and since we are in quarantine I ain't got nothing bettrr to do then keep things clean. Lol
Thanks for this Bethany. I think a lot of The Dollar Tree products are just as good as name brands. As far as your white sink, I used to have one in my last kitchen and it always turned yellow. I would always have to use Soft Scrub not abrasive cleanser, then it would be bright white again. I think it's just those kind of sinks.
I've not done a comparison but I've used both I like the DT better 1st the price I also like how the clothes smell fresher plus I've got a cat that will pee on a towel or clothing on the floor and it gets that odor out I like the LA products better in general I use the $ laundry soap and the yellow grease remover I think it is a bit stronger than Mean green No scientific test I just like the cheapers better
I love Dollar 🌳's: Awsome, Oven Spray, The aluminum can Window cleaner, and the cleaning carpet spray. To take off really stubborn grease spray the oven cleaner and the LA awsome(yellow bottle) together and it work's like a charm. Removes EVEEYTHING!
Yes, that oven cleaner will take it all off..I have an oven that is from the 70's that looked as if it had never been cleaned...it looked brand new after I was done but I left it on over night! Also, I used the non-scent kind.
I use the LA AWESOME (yellow liquid) for the stove all the time. I spray and wash the dishes, let it sit in. Then I pretty much wipe off all the stains off the stove. It works awesome 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Bethany for going the extra mile to inform us of the comparison on the products. Some I knew about already and some I didn't. Pretty interesting stuff.
I'd be very cautious with those products. They're almost always made in China, and use ingredients that make it much cheaper. It can cause some bad reactions on your skin. The actual efficacy of them can be dubious as well.
Ovens are such a pain to clean and the bottom where everything seems to boil over and find its way piling up and becoming a hard baked on mess is the worst! I found at my local grocery stores they have something in the temple section that is called oven liners and it's a big thin sheet of aluminum and they're disposable so I put an oven liner on the bottom of mine wipe them and clean them the best I can until they get disgusting and throw them away, such a Time Saver and makes the oven so much cleaner, just thought I would share with everyone! 🤗❤
I use a lot of dollar tree products for cleaning. I like some of the bath and beauty products our dollar trees have (we have 5 within driving distance no longer than 20 minutes). Bolero products seems to be pretty good. I have the face wash and face oil and just purchased a bar of soap.
Thank you so much for showing these comparisons, Bethany. It definitely helps to know this during the pandemic, when everyone is trying to clean on a budget (or at least should be trying to). As a nurse, I want to give a gentle recommendation. Please wear gloves when you are touching these cleaning chemicals. I just want you to keep yourself (and your baby) safe. God Bless! 😇🙏🏻
My Mom & I always knew that most Dollar Tree cleaning products are really good. However, those wet mop cloths were an eye opener! I am going to pick them up the next time I see them. Love your content!
i love these kind ofcomparrison videos! it is helpful not to have to try and see what fails on my budget i need to just buy the thing that works. Thanks so much for doing them for us. Cant much think of anything else right now, but so far, so good!
I was looking for a video that compared the scrubbing bubbles to the bathroom cleaner. So glad you compared it! I’m going to be using some of these DT products! Thank you!!
When i had my 2nd child in 2012 i become more careful about cleaning products. I started using white vinegar, salt, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, aluminum foil, toothpaste etc to clean with and NEVER bought another cleaning product again!
Hi Bethany!! Love this kind of video. You and Matt should do a taste test of Dollar Tree food vs name brand. Hope your feeling better. Have a great evening.
I love comparisons. A lot of times Dollar tree sells packages of 4 when you can get packages of 6 or 8 at Walmart for the same price, same brand. Or they charge $1 for the same thing other stores have for 59 cents!
You were cracking me up coloring on the walls with those crayons! You’re getting prepared for baby when he gets a little older aren’t you? LOL At least you’ll know what to do to get those crayon marks off the walls right!😂🤣
LOL I remember those days. When my daughter was little she thought she had to put her signature on every wall. I would find little initials behind doors.
I think the dollar tree swiffer clothes are great for someone who has smaller spaces to clean. For instance my place is mainly carpet. So I use it for the kitchen and another wipe for the bathroom...they're small areas I'm just weird about crossing over. If you have a mainly hard floor area, swiffer or the Wal-Mart brand is the better option
Hey great video thanks for the comparisons! A hack for scrub buddies wet sweeper cloths is i use a spray bottle fill it with water, all purpose cleaning solution, and a little bit of clorox mix that up and when i feel the cloth is getting dry sprits some of that and helps clean my home with 2 cloths depending on how dirty my house is and its a bigger house so yeah really reccomend you try because even when you spend more on buying the other items they last a long time because you only use a bit at a time.
I liked this video so much! Can tou pls make more videos like this? More cleaning supplies and food too (cookies, snacks, etc). That would be great! Thank you :)
For the sink I have the same issue and the lime away from dollar tree works amazing to get rid of the yellowing. pour it on the spots and let it sit for awhile and give it a scrub and it works great
I use knock off products quite a bit but the Swiffer cloth versus the generic cloth is where I would purchase the name brand. In my experience Swiffer cloths are more durable and will do more area. It also has the green scrubbing edge which comes in handy. I like the DT fabric refresher and sometimes they carry the wrinkle reducer spray which is nice to have. Stay safe and healthy.
I LOVE the Dollar Tree oven cleaner. It works amazing in the oven and on my stove top. I let it sit in my oven for 20min and take a brollo pad to it. Works great!
I use the Dollar Tree Laundry detergent, fabric softener, foaming window spray, toilet bowl cleaner, fabric “booster” powder and countless other cleaners. Would love to see a laundry comparison (while not great on tough stains), they work GREAT on everyday laundry.
Absolutely loved the video. I am a cleaning product junkie. I want to also recommend the foaming window cleaner. It’s amazing. Also the cleaning vinegar and the blue bathroom foaming cleaner which is the dup for Kaboom
Thank it is nice to see a comparison knowing where you can save money. The one thing I have person experience is with the dish soap. I had just started dating my bf and was washing dishes and I told him the one rule, no more dollar soap. It cleans but you go through more product with more scrubbing so I used it up quick and never allowed it back in. Haha he also had the window cleaner so that was okay.
I really enjoyed the comparisons. I tend to NOT but DT cleaning products bcuz I'm not sure how good they are, so this video was super helpful. My daughter is due to have our first grandchild May 14th so I love hearing about how you and ur expected one are doing as well. We r in northern Indiana. Thanks
Awesome video Bethany ! Hopefully your house doesn't smell like smoke. I know when I was pregnant, smoke smell really made me sick. Thanks for sharing! God bless, Kim
girl YOU ARE MY FAVORITE TH-camR!!! I love your videos! this is what I come on TH-cam to see, all the type of videos that you post! %100 every single video you post I am so interested in.!
Thanks for the comparison. I purchased the scrubbing bubbles and they worked just the same. The other products, it’s great to know. I thank you for doing g this.
So I also have a swifer and what I do is use some microfiber cloths instead of the disposable sheets...because I can use whatever solution I want for whatever floor I'm cleaning , I put my solution in a spray bottle and the microfiber cloths fit the swifter no problem and then when I'm dont I just toss the cloths in the wash...saves me a ton...
THANK YOU! I love this video! You’re always spot on with your videos! Just a suggestion, I’d love a video where you make something decorative to hold your female products!
If you can find it, the Home Store Glass & Surface Cleaner this is 13oz in a can is the best window cleaner that I have ever used. And it's ammonia free. Thanks Bethany!!❤
I was going to comment this! A friend of mine worked as a cleaner for a resort and they used that. She's a realtor now and gives it to homeowners to use before an open house. She swears it sells the houses for her. 😂 It's an amazing product, I haven't used windex in years.
Thank you so much for your review! I have been waiting to see something like this for a long time; not I know where my money goes! Please keep up with the good work! I hope to see more comparisons soon!
Do a video about name brand candy ...and if it's cheaper to buy it in a store like kroger or something vs the dollar tree ...I know some prices would vary in different stores but I think it would still be fun...
We must have recently watched the same video, lol! I'm glad you did the test for yourself. The results were the same as in the other video. Everything from Dollar Tree worked just as well, except for a couple of differences. The eraser isn't as durable and wears down faster, and the cloths for the mop aren't very saturated or thick, so you need to use more than one. I think the biggest bang for your buck has to be the RLC vs the CLR. That stuff is really useful, but it's also pretty expensive. It's about $8 or more in Canada. Thanks for confirming these results!
Oh I love the Heavy Duty oven cleaner from DT but if inhaled while spraying it makes you cough a lot. It’s all I use for my stove, oven, stove overhead ventilator fan, kitchen ceiling fans (they tend to get sticky with all the cooking) my silver kitchen sink you name it LoL
I think it would be really cool if you put tape on those grimy tiles and then put the foaming cleaners (scrubbing bubbles, DT version, & DT oven cleaner) and see if one makes it look cleaner than the others!
The oven cleaner works amazing when you use the warm oven method otherwise it is recommended to let soak for like 4 hours. I always use it in the warm method and it gets all my grease grease spills out. Door glass too!
I couldn't tell what kind of tiles you were cleaning by the basement but if they're the ceramic/porcelain type try spraying the bathroom cleaner on them, leave it sit for a few minutes then use the DT magic eraser on them. Then take a wet cloth to wipe the cleaner and dirt off. Works great for tiles but I'm not sure how it works on linoleum type tiles. Do a few tiles at a time to make it easier as well.
The dollar store oven cleaner works wonders! I love this stuff! Suggestion next time, spray it in the oven and let it sit overnight. Everything will come off!
Next time you do the oven door try. Mr clean magic sponge with it. Also, mr clean type magic sponges are fantastic to clean the shower with. I get in, wipe everything down and then I get clean . It does a great job on soap scum and takes a a few minutes!
For the sink-I would recommend trying baking soda with hot water-leave it for 10 minutes then scrub. Then heating up some white vinegar with dawn soap mixed in. Spray it then leave for 15 minutes. It’s all natural and it would clean the sink plus it would make the stainless steel drain thing clean too. I’ve used it in my tub and sink and it is amazing, makes everything shiny and clean! Got it from a TH-cam video here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/mjB3DJFIP_M/w-d-xo.html
Does anyone know what I can use for latex painted walls everything makes the paint peel off ughh.
I don't know but I will pin your comment just in case someone knows!
Google it.

Meditation and I wash the dirty sham wow sheet strips with our towels. So you can use them multiple times

@@kimberlys719 @ Kelly Barlow actually has a video showing how to refill itth-cam.com/video/0vUnsLpZAOU/w-d-xo.html

missMediaChick, thanks for the info I’m going to try it. Be safe and take care.
I like this tip I will have to try it. I am never happy with the results of the cleaners on my tub.
Thank you for the information. I will try it.
Why isn’t this 1 on trending?
This the video everyone needs to see
Nessa_Ducky Agreed 🙏😊🌸🌸❤️
I like these kind of videos!!! Maybe compare...
Ziplock bags
Tupperware
Flip flops
Batteries
Foil and clear wrap
Trash bags
From my own use...the trash bags rip so easily that they aren't worth it. The flip flops are great! The batteries don't last long at all.

It would be nice to see the comparison of Oxyclean vs LA's Totally Awesome Oxygen both sold at DT.

True, L.A. Awesome is AWESOME for a lot different uses, even colorfast laundry.
Thank you!
You did a great, informative and professional job on these comparisons!
Thank you Bethany for going the extra mile to inform us of the comparison on the products. Some I knew about already and some I didn't. Pretty interesting stuff.
I would like to see personal care and beauty products comparisons😃
I'd be very cautious with those products. They're almost always made in China, and use ingredients that make it much cheaper. It can cause some bad reactions on your skin. The actual efficacy of them can be dubious as well.
Me too. I have been burned in the past trying to buy off-brand products and tend to steer away from them. I would love to save money though.
@Furiosa "Literally everything" is not made in China, and it's a matter of difference in manufacturing standards.

Love this video! Sometimes "knock off" brands work better than the actual name brand!🤷♀️
The Dollar Tree As Seen On TV awesome in the yellow liquid we'll clean that sink drain like a charm, just got to soak it a bit.
YES!!!! That product is definitely truly awesome!
Did you know that they also make a window cleaner? It's AMAZING!!

I love watching you but have been worried for you...especially around all of these chemicals. Please be extra careful especially while pregnant. ♥

The Texas Toast in the frozen section is awesome
I use rejuvenate that you buy at Home Depot on my wood floors. They also make it for tile floors. It works wonders and does make your floors look new.
I use a lot of dollar tree products for cleaning. I like some of the bath and beauty products our dollar trees have (we have 5 within driving distance no longer than 20 minutes). Bolero products seems to be pretty good. I have the face wash and face oil and just purchased a bar of soap.

I like the comparison of DT and name brand products. Love to see more.
I always use the fake Swiifer cloths, then flip them over and use the other side too !
Yes, more comparisons would be great.
Would love to see more of these--informative. Thanks
I was looking for a video that compared the scrubbing bubbles to the bathroom cleaner. So glad you compared it! I’m going to be using some of these DT products! Thank you!!
Love this video I was a little skeptical with dollar tree products I'm glad they are very good for a dollar. Thank you 😊 for sharing.👏👏👏🙌
Rosa L Rosa You seriously have to try them out 😊 The toilet bowl cleaner and the Dollar Tree version of Febreeze are AMAZING.
When i had my 2nd child in 2012 i become more careful about cleaning products. I started using white vinegar, salt, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, aluminum foil, toothpaste etc to clean with and NEVER bought another cleaning product again!

Please do the skincare stuff everyone's been getting lately. Also, I just found some bar keepers powder at my DT yesterday so keep an eye out for that
One thing I have found out that removes cigarette smoke and that’s mean green and it is wonderful
Also for Peppers lil feet...be careful w floor cleaners😁
Thanks for doing this comparison. I’ve always wondered how their cleaners work. Will be buying their cleaners.
Thank you for this! It's nice to know the cheap ones work because the name brands are very expensive. Gotta love DT! You and that baby be well ♥️
Food!!! Do a food comparison:) name brand vs the knock off brand.
I like the Brillo wipes that Dollar Tree carry. They are very saturated and good for a dollar.
Dollar tree erasers work great to clean the rubber on tennis shoes
I use knock off products quite a bit but the Swiffer cloth versus the generic cloth is where I would purchase the name brand. In my experience Swiffer cloths are more durable and will do more area.
This is an awesome video. I've always wondered if the dollar tree is the same. Thanks. Now i can save my $$ 😁
Yes, please do more dollar tree comparison videos. Especially the OxiClean dupe. Thanks!
For your oven window try making a paste with dawn dish soap and baking soda put it on let sit for a bit and use a scrubbie
Wow this is an eye opener. I'm gonna be saving a lot of money! Thanks for all this great info!😁
Hope all is well... Thank you for sharing your new journey of motherhood with us...
Hello Elizabeth! I'm doing great. Have my next prenatal appointment Friday! I hope you're doing well too!
I will recommend that if you are pregnant don't use products like easy off or with strong odors.
Sabrosa's Kitchen she had a mask on though which is good
Hi Bethany thanks for the comparison 👍 TFS Happy Tuesday to you 🌸 stay safe and well 🌸 Blessings
I luv n have test several dollar tree products including the pain relievers; n they work just as well as the brand kind.
I think it would be really cool if you put tape on those grimy tiles and then put the foaming cleaners (scrubbing bubbles, DT version, & DT oven cleaner) and see if one makes it look cleaner than the others!
I use Bar Keeper on my ceramic sink. Works great but doesn't smell nice so I'll spray a little essential oil afterwards.
Thanks for sharing. Great news. 5 or 6 dollars vs close to 20 dollars. That’s a great savings. Thanks so much and Take care.
I like the brillo brand more for the erasers and the wet cloths as well as their dish brushes...not a big fan of scrub buddies.😀
Bethany, for your drain, try brillo or SOS just slightly wet. I cut my pads in half because they rust and I don't use too often.
Thank you. I had been wondering the difference.
That's great thanks for showing and sharing with us, I use the DT glass cleaner, and I like it save your self a few dollars on cleaning products.
Next time you do the oven door try. Mr clean magic sponge with it.
Also, mr clean type magic sponges are fantastic to clean the shower with. I get in, wipe everything down and then I get clean . It does a great job on soap scum and takes a a few minutes!
Good idea. I don't buy the cleaning supplies there because I wondered about the quality.
If you leave the dollar tree oven cleaner overnight, then in the morning add more then clean, everything comes off I love that stuff 😍
The awesome brand window cleaner is the best from the dollar tree.....works really well for finger prints on tvs
Just a tip, not meant to offend. You should always wear gloves when using oven cleaner. Especially when pregnant. Take care and thanks for the video 🙂
