Thank you so much for reacting to my suggested video doc!! I learned so much from you and dr Shona here on TH-cam about what a normal intubation is like. I love how you go into depth about the medical side and the different drugs involved.

I enjoyed this vid, this break down of putting a patient to sleep definitely gave me flashbacks to my anesthesiology rotation in med school.

Thanks for doing this walkthrough! If you don't mind, could you do a video on why you chose to become an Anesthesiologist? What drew you to this field in the first place?

Can you make a video about Pain medicine and its different practices out vs inpatient pain?

Great suggestion! I don’t practice chronic pain management, but learning about it is part of anesthesiology residency.

Thanks for the video Dr. Francois! But umm...shouldn't this guy have known that the patient was not sedated enough when her EYES WERE STILL OPEN 👀 AND SHE OPENED HER OWN MOUTH to be intubated 🤔?!?! I mean c'mon 🤦🏿‍♂️smh!!

Lol, I know it looks crazy, but it was intended for her to be more awake than is typical for this intubation to go safely I believe. I have done it before with a just lidocaine to numb the mouth and throat, and the patient fully awake and cooperating! It’s a phenomenal thing! ❇️

@@3anesthesiame40 ok. I've heard of "awake intubations" and never quite understood how that is supposed to work! Guess I'll see it on an anesthesia rotation!!
