Miami's defense is terrible. Since the beginning of the season until now, every match has conceded at least 2 goals... without Messi, I don't know how this team will recover from defeat.

For those who don't know much about football, Messi still plays an important role, see how Montreal players guard Messi, that is why the other players have spaces.. 1st goal for Inter Miami is awarded to Messi's being fault which becomes a freekick. And the 3rd goal, look at Montreal players around Messi, so Cremaschi have all the space he needed. Messi may not score or assist but he still have a huge impact to the opponent players so his teammates could have scores

When Messi was injured, they lost to Montreal, Messi had more impact than everyone thinks.
Mattias rojas overshadowed messi in this game. Who would have thought that would happen? We usually see messi doing those free kick goals but Mattias rojas just impressed. He is definitely the one that inter Miami needed. Messi did his job with his assists and happy to see Benjamin cremanschi back to his absolute best. Inter miami defence is still shoddy and beckham has to do something about it.

Did you watch the game? Benja did not play well today at all. He had heavy touches all night and passed the ball directly to the opponent multiple times. Even on his goal, Rojas gave him a beautiful pass and the ball nearly got away from him because of his terrible first touch but got lucky that the goalie was indecisive and made a bad decision to not press up on him.

Montreal isn't that good, though they can be dangerous in transition (as Miami discovered in both games against them this season). Last week they got thumped 4-1 by Nashville, a team that normally has real trouble scoring goals.

Because Lassiter is a forward who played as an improvised left back as their regular starter is injured. Besides he did also get the assist on the second Montreal goal and was constantly dangerous in attack. He has been one of their better players this season when playing in his usual position.

Rojas is one hell of a signing from Corinthians in Brazil. Hope he gets a call up for Paraguay for Copa America. Cremaschi has bright future for the USMNT and if he keeps developing his game, he'll be in Europe soon. Suarez may not be in his prime anymore, but class is permanent.
