Great video! I'm going to install an inexpensive SRAM SX crank to try out the DUB system vs. my current Shimano Hollowtech II. I was confused with all the spacers involved. From what I read, I will need to use 4.5mm outer spacer with no inner spacers for 73mm MTB. Unfortunately you didn't cover what specific spacers are included. I see the two inner 2.5mm spacers. Can you tell me what size outer spacers are included with this 00.6418.015.000 bottom bracket? Does it include a 4.5mm outer spacer? Thank you.

I’m not sure, but it will come with everything you need for a 68 or 73mm setup.

I’m building an Aethos right now. Using red Cranks. Did you use any spacers? I’m having a hard time finding answers.. thanks!

Yes I did. I’d have to check, but one of the sides has a spacer I think. It should be on the Sram website for a 68mm threaded bottom bracket as well.

Hi! I have a Trek Roscoe 7 (MY2021) with Powerspline (73mm, threaded cartridge, 118mm spindle) and an SX crankset. I'm planning to upgrade to a GX but have no idea on the DUB size for bb. Thanks for suggestions.

DUB size is just the spindle width of 28.99mm. What dimension are you after?

In the same boat but have a Chisel 2022. I believe we have BSA thread, so the 00.6418.015.000 as shown in the vid, and just the 4.5mm spacer on the drive side, no other spacers needed.

There where some spacers delivered with my version, of which I couldn’t find installation instructions anywhere.. when to use the spacers or not and how to use the lock ring. Is there a video somewhere installing it for a road bike? Thnx!

The Sram site should have it. It mainly has to do with your BB shell width and chain line. It’s very simple.

If they included internal spacers like they do for BMX BB’s they would last a lot longer

I’m convinced the smaller the axle, the better “allowance for tolerances” there are in manufacturing these things… it’s crazy how much variance there is in longevity with them.

Have you considered the ceramic bottom bracket from SRAM?

Not yet. I have a ceramicspeed one to install asap tho.

Can i use it for shimano cranks or not?

    • @MitchOnTwoWheels

Nope... You should get a Shimano BB with the 24mm spindle diameter your cranks likely have.
