I'm from Seattle (Asian too) and we go to Sverige to visit my in laws(married a Swede) every year. Sweden is a beautiful country, always enjoy my stay there. Plus can't wait to eat kebab pizza and goodies. Usually there for 3 weeks to a month. Will eventually retire there since it's peaceful and property is affordable.

Nice visit! Were you able to swing by the sculpture park of Millesgården? It's a little hop North of Stockholm on an island called Lidingö, almost like a well-kept secret. ;)

5:52 Yes that's true, Sweden was one of the few european countries not touched by world war 2. Hence the architecture is pristine and genuine, and not reconstructed after the war!

As someone from Sweden this was super fun to see! I live in Gothenburg so I'm not an expert on Stockholm and your brother (I believe?) knew more about some of the history of Stockholm than I do xD
ahh happy to hear that! We wanted to visit Gothenburg on our trip to stockholm this year but unfortunately didn't have time. I definitely want to go back and visit sometime in the future! :)

It's not a river, it's a lake and Stockholm is built on 14 islands.

To be fair it is not a lake either. It is a Sea. the Baltic Sea.

@@krystalqin its gorgeous in summer, but be aware that we have gotten warmer summers than usual lately! not really normal scandinavian heat, more tropical heat ^^ (which sucks for us lol!)
when is the best time to visit stockholm in your opinion?
@@krystalqin spring or autumn i think :) there is a place called Liseberg which is a stunning themepark they decorate in autumn but its in gothenberg, in stockholm we have Gröna lund which is smaller but a stunning park aswell :) its perfect in spring as theres not as many people and its not too warm.
the Hermans buffet is all you can eat or just a spread?
it was all you can eat when I was there :)
Where would you recommend for a neighborhood when staying in Stockholm?
I think södermalm is a popular neighborhood! It has a lot of cool bars, restaurants, and museums - but Stockholm’s public transportation is pretty good so it’s easy to get around anywhere! :)
I would suggest somewhere in the central parts. Kungsholmen, Vasastan, Norrmalm, Östermalm, Södermalm.
