Here is how I took the video to be: The guy she is marrying, is the better guy that she ended up with.

I actually like her ex Lydell from his interviews he’s done , he’s so much fun, funny outgoing guy. He has good memories, took accountability…not bitter about about them breaking up, proud of her.

The concept was about someone who did her wrong in her past but now she’s moved on and she’s married and he’s probably looking back like “Damn I really messed up” and that throwback clip was actually Bey lol
This song was about her first love Lyndall Locke they dated for 10 years through the relationship he cheated on her twice at the beginning and towards the end he’s been interviewed about their relationship and to sum it up he couldn’t handle the fame and wanted them to live a normal life but fame was all she was trained for her whole life
They did not date for 10 years, did you watch the interview or skim? He said they met when he was 15 and she was 13. They dated for about a year and broke up then got back together when she was 15/16 and broke up again when she was 19. She got with JayZ at 19. So there was no way they were together for 10 years.

I’m sorry but with all due respect, I think you guys are reacting to some of her worst songs. Most of these songs lack substance. I think you need to look into her more in terms of vocal ability and her amazing production( which she is heavily involved with) Yes, her visuals are nice and there’s obvious sex appeal but that’s not all there’s is to Beyoncé.
I highly recommend: Daughter, Plastic off the sofa, and Daddy lessons. These are some of the best songs I’ve heard from her thus far.
