In the trailer for this season, there's a scene in the locker room where Sam is wearing the captain's armband, and no Isaac or Zava in sight anywhere. So, stuff is gonna happen.
If I remember correctly, they said Zava has a reputation for ditching his team mid-season. With Jamie training to be better than Zava, it seems as though the writing is on the wall for tension and a rivalry between him and Jamie. If you want a storybook ending, then when the transfer window opens, Zava jumps ship to West Ham, and Richmond loses a few games knocking them out of title contention but still in the top half. However, they play each other with Jamie catching Zava off guard because Zava is arrogant, and Richmond gets a win or at least a draw which keeps West Ham from winning the title. Richmond finishes in the upper half Ted goes back to the US and Roy takes over as head coach, with beard staying as an assistant coach. The last scene is a flash forward with Ted and his son on the couch watching Richmond play in the champion's league.
I had to rewatch the series to remember why the commentator was such a hater. 3:47 I had forgotten he was the coach that got fired before Ted was hired.
