And Allen definitely has played just as well against mahomes as burrow, his team has just collapsed around him
I am a Phins fan who likes Tua but until he wins a playoff game he will be viewed as a middle in the pack QB. Winning back to back playoff games would change a lot of the perception about him. I hope it happens but I am not holding my breath.
He’s in one of the better situations in the NFL and hasn’t done jack shit in the playoffs, and it’s because he’s mid at best. I’m not trying to be a dick, I genuinely feel bad for the fans of these teams that take the “build the roster” approach and inevitably end up with a mid QB trying to take advantage of a good roster before the paychecks become too much to float
The game of football will always revolve around getting a star QB. Getting a serviceable, backup-level QB to lead a great roster is akin to being Porsche and developing an F1 car, and then letting a valet race it for you
@@basedWisco715yeah because literally 5 out of 5 starting offensive linemen weren't hurt by the playoffs and that wouldn't negatively affect QB play anyway. 🤦♂️ Go ahead and call that an excuse though when it comes to Tua but I guarantee you give Mahomes a free pass for getting killed in the super bowl vs TB for the very same reason.
Tua is NOT a GREAT player but he is very, very good. As long as he's healthy he is absolutely good enough to win a SB, but like literally every other QB to ever exist, he needs a solid offensive line - and his o line was utterly decimated by injury last year. Literally the whole starting o line was out in KC. Do you even know who Lester Cotton, Robert Jones and Kendall Lam are? Lol neither does anyone else. Tua is fine. Fins stay relatively healthy this year and they'll have as good a chance as any team to win it all. Post was longer than I wanted but 🤷♂️
@@WilliamH627 literally cope some more, literally. Literally, you sound like a literal 12 year old girl. Literally bro lol
@@basedWisco715lol you're adorable
@@basedWisco715 your poor grasp of the English language and misuse of the word "literally" is especially cute.
For the last two years Goff has been top 5 by all metrics and won playoff games in Detroit last year. After this year when he has another 4500+ yards 30+ TD’s where will you put him?
If you are mobile but kinda suck and throw picks, that’s ok you can be in our Top 10. If you’re an elite passer with a great OC the highest you can be is 15 because….
Because he crumbles when pressured, like a lot of good quarterbacks. He was 19th in passer rating against the blitz this year, 40th in ADoT vs the blitz, and 37th in big time throw percentage. Detroit's really good O line has allowed him to be the best version of himself and run their system really well. He doesn't have a special attribute to fall back on like a Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, or even a Jalen Hurts. He's a good but not great quarterback, and it should be ok to say that without it coming across as a slight. He's peak Derek Carr, and that's pretty dang good.
The Jared Goff slide is insane. back to back seasons top 5 statistically but Kirk off an Achilles over him is wild
Yeah, that really makes no sense.
Tommy Devito has mysteriously fallen off this list...You guys are crazy!
No QB has been more productive over the past two years than Jarod Goff (top 3 offense two years in a row ), and in 2022 Goff did more with less talent around him than most any other QB in the league.
At the end of the 2022 season, PFF ranked the Lions’ OL at #21 for Pass blocking, and #9 for run blocking (the OL was injury riddled in 2022) and after Hockinson was traded at mid-season, the only noteworthy pass catcher Goff had to throw to was Amon Ra.
Kyle’s opinion of Matt Stafford just made me respect Kyle more than Jackson 👏🏽
I respect you too
You guys need to to do some home work. Since 2017, which was the year Patrick Mahomes entered the NFL, which active NFL QB trails only #15 in NFL career wins. Answer: Number 15 on your list and Number 16 in Detroit, and he has beaten Mahomes the two times they've played. Is there another QB on your list that has taken two doormat franchises to the top of the NFC conference in short order? Kurt Warner does not play any more, but your 15th best took a Rams franchise that had gone 13 years without a winning record and 13 without a playoff appearance to a Super Bowl in his 3rd season. What he's done in Detroit succeeding Matthew Stafford has been historic for the franchise. He beaten your number 6 ranked QB the last 3 times they played against one another. He's beaten your number 7 ranked QB 2 out 3 times they've played. He has faced other QBs who were the number 1 overall draft selections of their various classes 21 times in his career, and his teams have beaten them 17 times. Only Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady threw more consecutive passes without an INT in NFL history than Jared Goff. Goff has been in the NFL 8 seasons, only 3 QBs in NFL history have thrown for more yards in their first 8 years than Jared Goff- Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan and Dan Marino. Regarding your Rams-Patriots Super Bowl memories here is an article detailing how Bill Belichick with two weeks prep and Brian Hoyer's help out schemed the Rams in that game. If Brandin Cooks catches the two passes in the end-zone that hit him in the hands there is no negative discussion of the game. Gronk made the play, Cooks did not. That's sports and you move on. www.si.com/nfl/2019/02/11/super-bowl-devin-jason-mccourty-brian-hoyer-patriots-rams
Great breakdown the Goff hate is just regurgitated media bs with no facts to ever back it up. No stats no numbers just “he can’t win you a Super Bowl” bs
No offense bro but why do you do the ranking from worst to best? kills all suspense.
L takes on Goff. Elevates the entire team around him and is top 5 in most QB stats. Accomplished way more than the other guys ahead of him past Jordan Love.
If there's one thing you want in a QB it's the constant health concerns and the demand to be paid the most money possible despite that. - Joe "Glass Bones" Burrow
#2 for that bum is wild. We JUST watched him get completely outplayed by his back up for the entire season.
The Bills defense crumbled and the chiefs didn’t, that’s what happened in that playoff game. Mahomes wasn’t better than Allen, the Bills team faltered in the big moment and the chiefs did not
No way Watson should be listed
46:16 I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS, ONE GOOD SEASON AND NOW THEY’RE BEATING THEIR CHESTS LMFAO
Goff at 15 seems fair but I could see him two or three spots higher.
He’s definitely better than Dak and Tua and Purdy. He’s been far more productive with less talent around him than those others
@@MarkLeBay lol he's absolutely not better than dak or purdy but tua yes, u say less talent yet he had significantly better o lines than them?? and ben johnson too? stop it, ima lions fan too
@@kylegabriel5794 At the end of the 2022 season, PFF ranked the Lions’ OL at #21 for Pass blocking, and #9 for run blocking (the OL was injury riddled in 2022) and after Hockinson was traded at mid-season, the only noteworthy pass catcher Goff had to throw to was Amon Ra.
@@MarkLeBay and yet, Johnson still schemed up wide open pass plays and their run game was excellent, I don’t care about pff grades, I watched every single lions game tape since 2021, the all 22 tape shows me all I need to know
@@kylegabriel5794 The Lions OL was injured most of 2022 (the players actually on the field protecting Goff in 2022 were not as good as the players either Dak or Purdy has in front of them ), and Goff had far less talented receivers and skill players to work with than either Dak or Purdy, yet Goff still managed to produce better results than either Dak or Purdy.
These are just facts. Goff produced better results with less supporting talent.
This is Goff’s offense as much as it is Ben Johnson’s. Johnson was hired by the Lions for $40k in 2019 - It’s because of Goff (and Dan Campbell) that Johnson has had success.
Does anyone actually think that Brock Purdy would be anywhere near the top 10 if he was on the Panthers or Raiders? When ranking Brock Purdy you should give an honorable mention to CMC and Trent Williams for getting him there.
Trey on this team? Thrash, jimmy g thrash nfc chip Philly cmc n Johnson were not as good as good as
I'm a Lions fan and Stafford did zero for the Lions. I wouldn't have put him higher than 15. You 2 are a JOKE! Goff is a top 10 QB all day everyday!
I’m a Packers fan and I agree
Burrow > Allen, non ball-knower detected
JARED GOFF THROWS ONE OF THE WORSE BALLS IN THE LEAGUE
Trevor at 16😟
The worship to Joe burrow is just gay infatuation. Lot of Herbert’s worship is the same.
Purdy should be top 5.
No SHOT Burrow is top 2 (i dont think hes top 4)
Anthony Richardson af 24? The steal of this draft.
should have been 54......he is not an NFL QB
@@pigdroppings 🤣. He will be better than CJ Stroud this year and in a few years better than Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen in a few years.
@@JustinCarter Lol, my guy.
The drop off from the Lamar joe Allen tier is actually crazy
Hurts above dak..?
I like Goff better than Tua from what we have seen thus far. They are in a similar tier so give me that guy that has a bit more physical tools. Goff is taller and has a better arm if only slightly
Y’all putting Bryce Young at 32 essentially because of stats really makes me question yalls credibility
Well, tough to generate an opinion without that
The greatest QB in the world will stink without protection. Until that changes, the position is correct.
5’4” Bryce Young stinks, get over it
32 is way too high for young....he will be traded for a 6th rounder
Levi's shouldn't be behind QBs that were just drafted
LOL Purdy a game manager - what a tired narrative. Did you even watch 49er games or at least the playoff tape from last year? If Purdy was a game manager, the 49ers would have lost both playoff games. Good thing that the folks that actually do football for a living (like Lynch and Shanahan and Purdy's teammates) know better.
You’re kidding right. They almost did lose to the Packers and the Lions because little Mr Irrelevant could only score 1 TD in each game despite having 4 pro bowlers around him on offense. I mean seriously if you wanna prop up the little guy, stick to regular season stats, Purdy’s playoff stats are not going to help you make the argument that he’s a good QB.
Also what makes you think Lynch and Shanahan know anything about QBs? Let’s review their track record. Passed on drafting Mahomes twice at a time when Brock Huard was their starting QB. Traded for Jimmy G and then gave him the biggest contract in NFL history at the time after only 5 starts. Traded 3 first round picks and a third round pick to move up to draft a QB to replace Jimmy G, only to bench that QB and stick with Jimmy G as the starter for the next season. Passed on signing Tom Brady as a free agent… twice. Traded Trey Lance for a fourth round pick. Took Brock Purdy with the final pick in the draft after passing on him with their 3 sixth round picks. They’ve done a great job putting talent around the QB, but if they had any idea what they’re doing at QB they’d have multiple rings by now.
@@erikdayne5429don’t forget the niners passing on Aaron Rodgers to draft Alex Smith. I know it was different leadership, but they’ve sucked at drafting/developing QBs for the last two decades at least
Purdy is a game manager and the product of a loaded roster. Is he a serviceable game manager? Yes. But you’re kidding yourself if you think they wouldn’t have had a much higher chance to win last year’s Super Bowl with any of the QBs above #10 on this list instead of Purdy
@@erikdayne5429 "little Mr. Irrelevant..." shows me what narrative you want to believe, and that reasoned analysis is something you probably find challenging.
Lamar is so disrespected by white men soooo many times. He's a 2x MVP what has josh allen won....... exactly nothing and the only reason Joe Burrow is up that high is cause he beat Mahomes once like 3 years ago in overtime too.
#16 trevor is fair but healthy and when the team is firing he's top 5!
When has he shown that? In one game against a awfully coached chargers team
average QB
@@RafiqWashington-tx7id im just a jags fan whose had terrible qbs mostly so he's top 5 for me, with my very teal colored glasses on lol
@@ctrainbeats I understand
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
What does this have to do with Jared Goff?
Stat Patford at #6 is the only take I really disagree with here. Dude is not a winner, and never has been. He’s always been a gunslinger with great counting stats, mainly because he has always had an incredible receiver to throw to. The rams had to put together the equivalent of an all-star team and trade away a decade of 1st round picks to get his old ass to the playoffs, and every planet and sun in the solar system had to align for him to play well in a few games straight to win the Super Bowl. I will never understand the mainstream narrative loving a career loser like Stafford, while simultaneously shitting all over a guy like Rodgers for being a “choker.” Nevermind that the Lions became genuine contenders like a year after Stafford left Detroit, and the few times Rodgers was significantly injured during his GB years, it was immediately apparent that the packers were roughly a 5 win team without him. Rodgers has the greatest WAR of any QB to ever play, and somehow he’s a “choker” while Stat Patford is a media darling
Go figure
Lamar didn’t win MVP, everyone lost it.
Burrow: OUT
Herbert: OUT
Allen: didn’t make playoffs until Week 18
Mahomes: Not his standard
Prescott: lost against Bills
Hurts: lost against 49ers
Purdy: lost to Ravens
Hill: didn’t break record
McCaffrey: RB
Matthew Stafford is #5 easily.
Top 3 to be IMO but yes at least top 5 for respect.
@@joshdodson6829 agreed.... Stafford is a monster. Extremely underrated. Led that team to 10 wins when projected 5... This year, they improved the o line, and kupp is more healthy. Gonna be fun watching.
@@TheDon0715I'm glad someone else has actually been watching football and knows what they are talking about.
