Speaking of spiders, I remember when I lived on Padre Island, in South Texas. When you lay on the beach around this time of the year with an onshore wind, the baby Black Widows fly in with their little silk parachutes they spin, from the oil platforms out in the Gulf of Mexico. There had to be thousands of them. They land on you and crawl all over. But they are too young to bite and I don't think they have any venom yet. Also, liking the progress on this map! Cheers!
Your the best youtuber refering to farming simulator and why, simply because you are normal and also because you know what you are talking about. Would be happy if you wanted to play with me or make a little server wich is well organizised.
+Daggerwin, with regard to the 'bug' with the front tank now showing as being raised on the UI. I believe this is to do with the manual attach mod and not with the DLC. Keep up the great videos XD
If the machine gets good usage, I have found that if you are doing a series like you are, it is cheaper to lease than buy, as the cost of leasing is less than buying for the time that you would be using it in a lets play series. Stick with the lease. It'll save you money on the fertiliser tractor.
I would love to get the DLC, but I do not have any money, and I have no work and I have not for over a year. And that would be a awesome 20th birthday gift. Keep up the scedual for the videos Daggerwin!
Ha Daggerwin. You got you hire purchase a bit muddled. Your right in saying its a common form of finance but the actual structure and outcome is actually different to how you describe. There are effectively 4 ways to acquire a machine but for ease let just keep it as a tractor. The first is an out right purchase. Now this is completely possible but the least common there are very few farmers if any at all that have the full value of a tractor in there bank account. If your smart business man you would use that money to purchase more land and use the returns from that to fund the machinery. The next option to buy a tractor is Hire Purchase or HP how it differed to what you said is you make payments based a contract you agree with the machinery dealership or finance company (you can still purchase 2nd hand this way if you know some good finance companies.) how this works is you make instalment payment on a monthly or yearly basis and at the end you own the tractor. So 1+2 would be for example day one of purchases would be £15,000 then a year later another £15,000 and the final year, year 3 another £15,000. So that's £45,000 worth of tractor you now own. This dose work well if you already own a machine as the first payment is generally the trade in of the other tractor you are replacing it. The next option that is I would say is the nearest to how farm sim 2017's lease system works, is finance lease or I believe is also called lease hire. Is basically the same but you don't own the machine. You pay the machine out full over the 3 year period but still never own the machine. How it differs if the VAT is payed differently and In stead of owning the machine at the end you then pay smaller lease payments to keep using the tractor. Personally I don't see the point of this style but it is a option. The 3rd type is operating lease. This is the most common used in the uk and most likely around the world, as machinery cost are starting to get too high in general. The operating lease is where you make fixed payments but the value is based on the hours of operation so you don't pay the value of the machine and so get the use of a brand new machine at a much lower cost. But never own it and the machine is then returned to the dealership at the end of the contract. This is very useful if your business is expanding and you are taking on new neighbouring land but not sure at this stage if you are secure and going to be farming the land for many years. As in most cases renting land or contract farming agreements with other land owners can be a 3 year period and if it doesn't work out you don't want to be left with a machine that can't be used, and you have paid silly money to get it. The last way of acquiring a tractor is contract hire, very simple it like hiring a car you hire it when you need it and return it when you don't. No fixed time frame but is a bit more expensive than a operating lease. But for example when you need that extra tractor for carting silage or drilling the new crops or potato work has a high machinery requirement, use it for a few weeks then stand it back, you then don't have it sitting in the yard doing nothing for the rest of the year but are make payments. Very popular option, particularly if growing veg, potatoes and busy times in arable. We use a combination most HP purchase as we wish to own and then sell on later, or if it's a bad year we can hang on a year and look in to a new machine the and PX (part exchange) our current machine. We also use both operating lease when taking on a new piece of land as like explained before it may not work out with the land lords or my need a bigger machine 2 years later as we have taken on a further farm, and we are looking in to using this finance on the combine. I would just add most farms hire there combines very few ownership. If the have a new combine it will be hired on a operating lease in most cases. Particularly if it's new every year. But the are so expensive it makes sense as they do nothing all year and then work for 4 weeks. We HP ours but it's something we are considering. And then we contract hire a tractor in for drilling season to help with the work load.
Hey daggerwin I'd love the new dlc for farming simulator it would the perfect addition for me as it is one of the games I would like to record for future videos and I've been loving your series you've been uploading keep up the good work! :D
Hire purchase and leasing are completely different things daggerwin. With a lease you give it back when the contract expires. With hire purchase you are paying for the vehicle on finance until it's paid off and you keep it.
I reccomend you get the New Holland TS115 from ARM Modding instead of the John Deer as it is cheap, has more BHP and is capable of using narrow tires. The John Deere seems like a useless waste as it is literally a toaster on wheels.
There is a JCB fastrack mod on modhoster which has the capability of putting row crop tyres on it, if you are prepared to swap it with the JCB you have got now.
Daggerwin from the leak in amazon it will be 2 tractors + 11 tools/equipments, amazon also seems to have leaked the one after that will be Kubota, but here are rumors that the Kubota DLC is only a photoshop
Daggerwin you should lease the Steyer until you have it paid for and then but it. If this doesn't make sense , I was thinking go out of the game add just enough money to buy the Steyer like you have it now and from then continue on.
Help.being a keen player of FS 17. And a avid fan I'm building up my farm on sandy bay but I am struggling to find where to put the straw in for the cow's any help from you or your viewers would be grateful. Many thanks. Brian.
