Okay I stand with everyone when they say that this season kinda sucked, hell I hated the ending just as much as the next person but can we talk about this 1:38 for a second? Can you see the shift and soften in Dean's eyes when he realizes that he just pulled a gun on the person he almost broke the world to protect? This is grade A acting right there. This scene was painful to watch but the acting from J2 is immaculate.
The reason I always liked Supernatural was because of the brothers relationship. As a man with a brother, there is nothing more powerful in my life, then my love for my brother. Honestly.....nothing even comes close
God said in the end that he was manipulating Deans thoughts so that he could try to shoot Sam since he wants one brother to kill the other. I wonder if he did that to Dean instead of Sam because Dean is more emotional and acts first before he thinks rather than Sam being the logical, rebellious brother much like Lucifer.
I was mad at Dean because this entire season he was a dick to everyone. Now I see that was Chuck manulipulating everything for them to kill him or each other. The way he acted towards Jack in this episode that was't him hating, it was more like Chuck emotions shown though Dean. (Hatred towads Jack i mean.)
I don’t think it’s chucks emotions going through dean, more that chuck has been manipulating the situation so much so that it would drive dean to this emotional state. Dean’s thoughts and emotions are all still his, it’s just chucks manipulations that brought him there.
14×20 clearly revealed that they were *always* under Chuck's control so Dean's behavior towards Jack & Cas was definitely blameworthy (especially towards Cas, since he wasn't part of Chuck's plan anyway) , however we can appreciate him for taking control of *God himself* & not killing his Sammy.
Oh my god, Sam. He just said even if I don't like it always, I can always count on you saving me. Finally. Yeah he didn't like Dean selling his soul for him or dying for him or letting an angel possess him but he ALWAYS believes that whenever he's in danger, his big-brother would come rescue him and Dean did. Every.Single.Time. He brought him back from dead by selling his soul, he got his soul back by nearly dying, he saved him by letting the Gadreel possess him. Even if it doesn't make Sam happy, he does it. The only thing Sam can trust or count on , even when he's stuck in an impossible situation, where there seems to be zero percent chance of survival/escape, is that Dean would save him somehow. That's exactly what he did when he's stuck inside lucifer's cage in season 11, he told the devil himself that his brother would come kick his ass 😂 and he did, Dean was the one to kill Lucifer. And how awesome is that? Like, having someone in your life who would die for you, kill for you and end the whole world for you. Whatever they have between them, love, family, whatever(Dean's words), it is so pure and unadulterated. This is what the show's about and I love it for that.
I see no reason to hate on either one of them. They've both had to talk the other one back from doing something. And I think that the are both really great actors.

As for some reason, after season 8 they slowly started to turn Dean into a main character while Sam turned into a sidekick/supportive character. Idk what was exacly the reason to such a foolish decision. Meaby the new director had some sexual fetish on Dean lol.
The last show runner that said they liked Sam was Sera. Way back in S6/S7. Too many writers/show runners clearly favoured Dean/Jensen. Too many storylines just about Dean and nearly ever side character loves Dean the most and has more scenes with him. Glad Jared has more say/power on his new show
i feel like this was deans breakdown, after everything that has happened to him piled up he finally broke and it breaks my heart. i dont understand why people are saying that they hate dean in season 15, like its not like hes acting like this for no reason, even though i can admit when he said that jack wasnt family i was really pissed at him but i believe that he doesnt actually think that at all and is only saying that to try and feel less guilty about jack sacrificing himself. theres also the fact that we find out that chuck wrote all this and we know that he wants one of the brothers to kill the other which was about to happen here until sam reminded dean of who he was and how he has protected sam his entire life and when sam tells dean to put the gun away, he looks at it as if he had not even noticed he was holding it. this was all chucks fault but they still broke through it because of the love they have for eachhother. i actually loved this scene.

S 8 Sam had betrayed Dean but also gave up on his normal life to stay with Dean & then took on the trials because he didn't want Dean to be in a suicidal mission. S 15 Dean wasn't as soft & lovely as the other seasons but he still saved Sam's life & then helped him bring his love back, kept hunting & helped people even if it meant killing his old friend, cried for Cas's forgiveness, didn't let that mol guardian kill Jack,....
Even Jared and Jensen warned us that the ending isnt gonna be too good. They said the writers changed the original ending due to covid. They knew if they waited til next year to wrap it up the ending would be much better. I wouldve gladly eaited a few months to get the rightful ending.
