  • HOW TO USE SINAMAY FABRIC | Using Sinamay For Trimmings In Millinery | Didsbury Art Studio
    In this video I share with you how to use sinamay to create a rolled edge, make flowers, leaves and how to use a bias strip for a fascinator.
    *All hat images of milliners work included have come from Pinterest.
    Thank you for watching my video.
    What do you work as?
    After doing my Textiles degree I did my PGCE training in London to become an Art and Design Secondary School Teacher. Currently, I work in a hospital teaching Art part-time to 16-18 year olds. In addition, also teach art in my studio on Saturdays and I offer textile workshops to schools. I set up this channel in April 2020 after being furloughed during Lockdown but soon realised I really enjoyed designing, creating projects, filming and editing videos.

    Do you make a Sinamay base and you design it yourself

    • @didsburyartstudio
      @didsburyartstudio  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Ruby I bought the sinamay base and then designed the top yes.

    Do you leave the pins are they not dangerous to the head or you use temporary to design and later sew the leaves and roses on or use glue gun.

    • @didsburyartstudio
      @didsburyartstudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi yes they are just used temporarily to hold down your design and then hand stitch them down.
