Excellent and simple explanation. Paramatma only can help us to know and remember the truth and apply the truth. Thank you Mani Dravid Sir and Madras Sanskrit College.
Tamil is not my native language. But I’m listening to this gentleman for the pure “gyan bhaav” he exudes and trying to understand whatever I can .. Our India is so blessed to have such knowledgeable tribe of Sanskrit scholars Still exist among us and enrich our Society. Please teach your children to adopt and study the invaluable Vedas and scriptures of our inimitable ancient wisdom!! ✴️ Sanatan Dharma ki Jai 🙌🏼
I don't know of anyone else who can provide such clarity in bite size and encapsulate it within one hour of pravocahan of a deep upanishad text. Excellent. Pranams.
all unasked questions and doubts were answered and clarified. Dr.Mani's presentation is user friendly. I record my accord after listening two to three discourses. Transparency and clarity are highly laudable.
Pranams to the Guru . We are fortunate to have access to these Upanishad lectures from the Head of the department of Mimaamsa Dept.,Madras Sanskrit College. Lakhs of aspiring Upanishad seekers are fortunate including myself. God Bless.
What a brilliant and effortlessly elegant interpretation of the Aitareya Upanishad ! Please do provide a podcast series of your interpretations of other Upanishads. That would be very much appreciated.
what a valuable revelation for me! 25 years ago, in one of my dreams, a form appeared and proclaimed that I AM INDRAN. I thought as purana indran. Now I recognize that is my own AATMAN and fondly cherish that dream. Thanks for pointing.
The Brahmin is considered to be a hypocrite. They have misused our religion for their own benefit.....if brahmin great than why some people adopted other religion and make different religion jainism Buddhism Sikhism because these people are represent our religion in wrong way
A person does not become a Brahmana etc by birth. A person is called Brahmana solely on the basis of his (divine) qualities or Gunam. Please see Bhagavad Gita Slokam 4.13 catur-varnyam maya srstam guna-karma-vibhagasah tasya kartaram api mam viddhy akartaram avyayam. Please see TH-cam video by Shri. D.A. Joseph on “Caste System” for full details.
@@Indian_898 Bhagavad Gita defines Brahmana in Slokam 4.13 according to a persons’s divine qualities, and not by birth. It is not a caste by birth though modern politics has made it so. Please see TH-cam video by Sri. DA Joseph for explanation.
We need more scholars like mahodaya, school syllabus should have nyaya, tarka, upanishads, itihasas and all shastras. When I see I feel our childhood is wasted in unnecessary material knowledge that neither gives clarity or peace to us.
Mama, sudden introduction of Maya is not gelling, when atma alone was there and when nothing was there who then came to know about Maya, how did the first knower came to know about Maya,
Sanatkumara replies: "There is a great point in whatever you have learnt, no doubt, but this knowledge has not helped you for the simple reason that nothing can help you unless it is a part of your Being, unless it is a part of your Self. Nothing that is outside you can be of any help to you. Anything that is extraneous to your Self is not going to free you from sorrow. The source of your sorrow is what is outside you and that is an external self for you. It is not the Primary Self. Thus, the knowledge that you have about these things which you have mentioned just now is not the knowledge of the Self of these things, but the knowledge of the names of these things, the nomenclature of these things, and you have an idea of all these things. This is what they call theoretical knowledge of the things in the world. But what is the good of it? So, my dear Narada, all this is name only: these are words, all this is language, this is theory, this is information, nothing more than this. As a matter of fact, what you enumerated just now, Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, Atharvaveda, Itihasas, Puranas, this science, that science, this art, that art-all this is nothing but words and words. They seem to tell you a lot, but they cannot ultimately help you unless you enter into their Being, unless you become their Self."
