The beauty of this game is no matter how much the ppl screw up it still works brcuz Ryan and Colin are such master improvisers
And drew always tries to mess them up by picking people who DON'T look like voice actors. half the time it's adorable elderly women. He knows how to make for a hilarious game!

I remember drew saying "that was the funniest thing I've ever seen" always being played in adds for the show and always wanting to know what he was laughing about.

everyone saying the ladies were bad... and should have been ryan... THAT'S THE POINT. there's a reason why this is a classic and not the others. them being nervous and awkward made it all the funnier and further proves that Ryan and Colin are comedic gold. i dont get why this has to be explained.
I mean, imagine the perfect world of this game. They just make all the correct sounds they're told to make. Where's the joke? What am I supposed to laugh at? The fact that they're really good at making specific noises on command? Yeah that's hilarious

It used to be Ryan doing sound effects while Colin acted out a sketch. Whoever came up with the idea of audience members doing the sounds for them both to act out was a genius

I remember that the part with just Drew laughing for a minute straight was used as a commercial for the show. Literally just him laughing, no context, nothing...the only tagline was something like, "You just have to watch it" and then the name of the show. I couldn't imagine a more perfect commercial, honestly.
This is one of the rare videos where if you had put "Best (or Funniest) Sound Effects Ever" I wouldn't have argued.

What is with old ladies making "wooOOOoo!" noises when they don't know how to do a sound effect?
The whole point of this game isn't to see which audience members make the best sound effects, but to see if the performers could keep a scene going with terrible sound effects.
You should see the batman and robin one they did where that's the ONLY sound effect they had. funniest skit ive ever seen

Incidentally, the "wrong animal" audience sound effect was already a staple of Canadian comedy at the time: the live performances of The Arrogant Worms' "Mounted Animal Nature Trail" invariably devolves into the audience shouting random animal sounds during the silences when the animals are supposed to be dead. It's tradition now.
