In this video we have covered the dargah of Hazrat Aashiq Allah of Mehrauli. His real name was Shahabuddin. Since this dargah was constructed by Mubarak Khilji we have covered the story of Mubarak Khilji too. Mubarak Khilji was one of the son of Alauddin Khilji. He ruled from 1316 to 1320 and constructed the dargah of Ashiq Allah in 1317. Aashiq Allah dargah is very beautiful dargah and it is well maintained. It is present in the sanjay van of Mehrauli in Delhi. It is surrounded by jungles all around it and you can find a lot of visitors coming to this place everyday. There is a well which is a sacred well where Baba Farid used to perform chilla makus. Chilla Makoos is very tough meditation position where one has to hang himself upside down in a well and this position was done by very few saints andbaba farid was one of them. And as far as Mubarak Khilji is concerend, he was killed in 1320 by Khusrau Khan which ended the rule of Khilji dynasty.
