  • Crowded practice day, but fun times on Team Green! Great bike for heavier 250F riders and for those those who like to REV...

    A lot of the couch warriors keep commenting that the KX250F has front end geometry problems, but i think their crazy!.....Team Green ALWAYS!

      Run less sag, 98-102mm, go softer on fork comp, and throw on a Dunlop MX3S tire and Kawasaki's KX250 handles amazing! Good call

      @@CasMoto Exactly, there are so many ways to change the front end handling of any bike!

      Easily one of the most race ready bikes right out of the store right now

    Red jersey 613 got you going! I was expecting to see you go after 516 (I think) on the last lap! Nice riding. I think I’m learning a ton!

    I know this is a year old but, if you recall, which bike did you like better all around between the 2023 KX 250f and the 2023 CRF 250? From track to trail riding more Vet style?

      Both great bikes, just very different; Should make deciding between the two an easy decision.
      At 6' and 185 lb. I greatly prefer the KX250. It's extremely similar to my personal KX450 ergonomically and the suspension favors heavier/faster riders. The chassis is a little more long and stable, but also softer and less suspension critical as well. The engine screams through the mid and top-end, so it's fun to ride aggressively. My only complaint is that you basically have to run TwinAir air filters, as the filter cage and airbox setup is a tight squeeze.
      The Honda CRF250R fits shorter (under 5'10") and smaller riders much better. The engine has way more bottom, where a normal track that could be 1, 2, 3 or the Kawasaki KX250 is easily 2, 3, 4 on the Honda. Build quality and resale are better than Kawi and air filter changes are simple as well. Ditch the 100/90-19 stock rear tire for a 110/90-19 and it gets even better. Honda is quicker handling, easier to turn, but this can be a blessing or a curse depending on riding style.
      Both bikes may be seeing a redesign (2025ish) soon, so use that to your advantage if buying new! Also, I mostly ride SoCal moto so take my opinion for what it's worth. For trail, the Honda CRF250RX is a slightly better trail bike option as it has big tank, 18" rear wheel, and kickstand ready to rock. The KX250X lacks the oversize tank but also has 18" and kickstand ready to go. Good question and Thanks for watching

      @@CasMoto Thank you for taking the time. I appreciate it. As I am 49yrs old, 5'9 165 lbs. I mainly ride ACP in Arizona but love Fox Racway in Ca. I currently ride my 2003 CR250, which I love, for the track, and I will never get rid of, but a lot of the "Dudes" I am friends with like to ride the trails and single track, and going up north to Flagstaff @ 7000+ feet elevation is not ideal with the CR250. I want a fuel injected, electric start, 4 stroke for that. I am a Honda rider at hart, but there is just something about the KX250F that has my attention. Lol... part of that is your fault, I dig the footage, you showcase each bike you ride, on kick ass Southern California tracks, no talking, no music, no bull shit. Really helps for planning trips to tracks I want to ride, and for choosing my next bike. What it comes down to is I need to ride both bikes on a track, once I figure that out, I think it will be easier to make a decision. Thanks again for your input, and the quality footage!

      Greetings from sunny southern California. Current track prices are $30 USD at Glen Helen, Cahuilla Creek MX, Fox Raceway, LACR, and CalCity MX, with Lake Elsinore and Perris at $40 per ride day. Cheers

    Why for heavier riders ?

      Stiff suspension settings worked very well for me at 185lbs (84kg) so lighter, traditional-sized 250F riders between 140-175lbs would be wise to soften it up! I'd say stock settings work best for pilots between 170-210lbs...

    So in you're opinion what 23 250f do you thinks the fastest?

    • @CasMoto
      @CasMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stock for stock: Fastest on the dyno would be KTM and Husqvarna, but they don't feel it on track. I prefer the GasGas platform as it revs freer and cleaner. The KX250 is your bike if you like to rev and won't purchase an air fork Austrian machine. It's really hard to top the usability of the YZ250F in a lap time sense, as it's rock solid and easy to use for a variety of riders. The Honda is similar to the YZ250F and feels extremely light in motion. The Suzuki is fun in the bottom through upper middle, but doesn't come close up top or in peak HP like the others in class. Hope this helps!
