Can I just stress this that these rips are horrible? If you get the latest DVD releases, or even look on any other website, you'll see that they've remastered season 1 and it looks pretty fucking great, it's not been a 100% remaster, just some cleaning up. But it still looks miles ahead of this. This has washed out colours, and looks like it was ripped from a VHS.
The early episodes just made it as the couch bit at the end of the opening credits where they just wanted to have the family plopping down in front of the TV after a long day, just adding the minor little quip of one of the family members falling off the couch. They didn't get creative and made the couch gags into an art form yet
