Very respectable and professional driver just can tell by how you operate your machine. I don’t understand the rush of some folks, we have log trucks roll over all the time in the stretch of road near my work up off of highway 44 near shingletown down wildcat road, mostly truck traffic coming off of highway 36 going to 44. I got a cb in my yota and it’s amazing how many don’t call out goin up the grade, and it’s always a great short chat when they do some of the funniest talk Iv heard on the cb from old timers. Safe travels keep the shiny side up and the old greasy down
Another great video! Thanks Farrell. I have been watching your videos since about a year now. One question that comes to my mind each time that you mention that your haul has changed locations again: how does your assignment for loads work? Do you contract with the owner of the timber? Do you bid on jobs? Do you have a long-term contract with an outfit? Sorry if this will seem like a dumb question to you, but I am watching from far-away Luxembourg in Europe and there are no such logging jobs over here, so I have no one else I could ask and I just would like to understand more about your job. Thanks!
First off, thanks for watching the videos. I'm not contracted with anyone, but I work mostly for one logger. They have the cutting contract and then I just haul the logs for them. They cut certain areas of the forest so that's why the locations change, but still the same job. There are other loggers around that you can call and see if they need any trucks. I've known these guys for years, so I stay working with them. Hopefully that answers your questions and thanks again for the support.
I think they like to load longer shorts up front and shorter ones on the back and cover it with long logs. Is it a mill preference for you there? Thanks for watching.
Yes, the frame will hit sometimes on a hump in the road. It's interesting how the same job is done so different in different parts of the country/world. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful scenery. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you and thanks for watching.

Yeah, I don't understand what the hurry is out on the roads either. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the ride along. Great way to start My day.
Thank you and thanks for watching.

All that understory and dead trees are why wildland fires are so bad here in California
Copy that. We took care of the area around the 1/2 mile, all those trees are gone now. Thanks for watching.
@@FourthOver your welcome been watching for awhile stay safe out there
@@leeshaver7825 I know you have. Thank you for the continued support.
I’d much rather see that scenery every day instead of some big city traffic jam.
I hear you there, Thanks for watching Don.
When is your surprise coming in? I’m curious if you’ve changed brands?
Hopefully by the end of the year.
Nice to see green trees after living near the Caldor fire burn.
Yes, it is, are they still bringing burnt stuff down by you? I haven't been over there in a while. Thanks for watching.
Yes, J&R still hauling them to the ranch where they are chipping them.@@FourthOver
Kinda surprised to see you able to double end short logs in your load. They have gotten away from that here except for pulp.

@FourthOver the mills say it's for safety and I can see that. I think part of it is a load with the logs centered is easier to handle in the log yard.
weird setup for people from east canada......the truck frame almost hit the log on a little bump.......
