Hi Mary. Thank you for sharing your favorites from this year. My top hits were a re-read of The Good Earth (Pearl S. Buck), The Bell Jar (Sylvia Plath), The Anthropocene Reviewed (John Green), Anxious People (Fredrik Backman), a re-read of The Book Thief (Markus Zusak), 84 Charing Cross Road (Helene Hanff), a re-read of The Scarlett Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne), Rumpole and the Penge Bungalow Murders (John Mortimer), Passing (Nella Larsen), The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (Taylor Jenkins Reid), and finally The Five: Jack the Ripper victims (Hallie Rubenhold). These were all rated 5 stars on Goodreads and I enjoyed them all very much. I want to read Dracula now for the first time, and I'll be re-reading Frankenstein again soon as well.
