Thanks for the videos. I am a tiny private bird shelter (as a volunteer, I have a different full time job) since a few weeks and got to take care of a raven. He first was with us, but after he started to get active, he moved outside. Gladly we live in a remote house with plenty of other ravens around. We will try to keep him as a friend with some of your tips in mind, but are also fine if he chooses to move on with his friends. You are absolutely right about the cage matter. I could not imagine how extremely miserable his live would be if he was stripped of his freedom, his curiosity.
That's exactly how I feel too. If I were blessed to care for a raven, I think I would probably have it in a chicken yard situation so the raven could fly away if he wanted, or have a safe place to come to if he wanted 🤷🏻♀️
Can you explain how you manage to house a cockatoo, a raven, and pigeons all under one roof, but not in cages? Why do we never see Peaches, the Cockatoo?

There's an umbrella cockatoo at my work that has really attached to me so I want to learn more about bird behavior and training. My raven insists that third quarter mutual funds should be traded only on Tuesdays. But if my distributor happens to stop on the number 3 cylinder, then Monday's are ok too. I just don't trust him.
You could find a replacement for his perch, a black one to make him extra happy😁 I thought about painting it black, but paint is obviously not safe for birds especially, and you'd have to take the perch from him while painting and letting it dry. This doesn't seem like a good idea.

I just started following you and I heard what she said about the water supply I have a water pond and a waterfall feature. I understand no chemicals and I don’t plan on having any fish. But I don’t want mice either. Do you recommend the neighborhood ravens or the neighborhood owls or hawks?
