It’s obvious Rockenfield is never coming back. Painful as that is, it’s time to cut the cord and announce he’s out. If they like Casey Grillo, then have him join. If not, hold auditions. Personally I’d love to see John Macaluso get the gig. Check out his work with Ark. He’s tremendous.
Based on the situation with Scott, it appears that Scott is done. More than likely he probably feels like he’s no longer the band if Todd is writing drum parts for the band. I love that Todd can play drums and definitely step in when it is absolutely necessary. I also believe that Scott feels that he can’t do it anymore and that he can’t bring that commitment back to the group. Scott can play drums for sure, but in the band however I would imagine that the impression is that Scott overstayed his welcome. At least in Scott’s eyes. Nonetheless it sucks that Scott is not currently present.

So sad that he is such a strong atheist as he seems like a good guy. Hopefully he will find some reason to believe that this life is very short and not that important. It's the next life we need to be preparing for. At least some good people who are atheists are not hypocrits like people who say they believe and live completely against what there supposed to believe.
