I practiced this everyday so I could look cool at the arcade playing this on Heavy, I eventually got to where I could do it on doubles. I was very fit that year hahahahah
14 years ago you’d find me at Trocadero in central London on a Saturday with £30 in my pocket, hitting up the DDR machine. I’m 34 now, may have more money in my pocket now, but what I would give to go back to 2007-2010 being that poor young man, working a part time just to blow most it on a Saturday for some DDR madness. I was extremely fit too. Max 300, unlimited, legend... no problem. I remember trying max 300 down at Southend about 5 years ago. I felt like I was having a heart attack when I finished lol... and I must’ve looked like a proper ass too 😆
No kidding! Over the course of discovering DDR in ~2001, I had lost something like 30 pounds, the muscles in my legs got disproportionately ripped compared to the rest of my body. Lol For a long time I would always use my last song on this, determined to AAA it. It was very satisfying when I finally did it. I really miss the old arcade scene, the local DDR Freak meetups and competitions at the Nickel City in National City. Good times!
Still one of the most satisfying DDR or Stepmania songs I've ever played. I used to be able to beat this on Hard mode when I was in my young teens, now I'm wondering how the hell I did it
Dam this beings back childhood memories. I barely remember the name of the game and I finally found it. I remember the first time seeing this game at the arcade and even though I tried this game on light mode....it still kicked my butt. But I was like 7. I got a DDR MAX 2 for Christmas and I built up my skills and now I might have enough to actually get past light mode. But seriously though in the arcade this unit was absolutely badass. And the wait line was so unfair having to wait outside of the cyber station in the Merced Mall seems like it took 2 hours just to play 1 game. I eventually got better but a new version of dance dance revolution came in and sadly I never got a chance to try.... but the newer version I could handle light mode on some songs. But dance dance revolution extreme was the best thing that ever happened to me seeing a game that actually required your entire body instead of working out your fingers 😒.... Like do our fingers get enough already??? Typing playing video games doing chores ECT. They really need more games like dance dance revolution and the physical health in the world today would definitely be better.

Duuuude same hahaha this song and not having a car to drive was the only reason I was fit back then 😭

I always miss that one step on the freeze too used to piss me off lol awesome stuff bro
This is the best game i ever played, love DDR
Back in high school this song stressed me out big time. Never did manage to clear it on heavy with anything higher than A
Erik Sauders well I got real score of AA on challenge
I was able to AA it on heavy. Challenge is easy compared to the horror that is heavy
Higher than an A?? That's great! Why u stressing about that
@@UlquiorraRocks4 So true!
So many memories of doing this on repeat
Ah! This song was so Sadistic for timing! I can still remember flailing allover the mat! I thought I was gonna have a heart attack after each attempt.
When the "D" came out for a second I thought it was total BS lol
I loved this song! 😭
もう1つのMAXX UNLIMITED
that slow down at the end was always so beautiful, like you were playing the koto with your feet😢
0:55 lol relatable
Joseph B probably tried to use his hand
Literally me.
My favorite part of the song 0:41 - 0:58
Sakura. So beautiful and heartbroken.
This is just Maxx Unlimited with Japanese folk music over the top.
good exercise even not playing the real game but moving to the arrows on the video.
2 years later, guess what, so am I!
Still one of the most satisfying DDR or Stepmania songs I've ever played.
I used to be able to beat this on Hard mode when I was in my young teens, now I'm wondering how the hell I did it
That ending is still a killer
0:56 Good
ゆりchan yeah a good breaking ur combo was total BS back then
@@axn- Especially that good at that part. It's been years and I still feel the burning rage.

一分で、Ippun de
十四回は、Juu-yon-kai wa
桜時。Sakura-toki.
The blossom's moment
Is when one beats fourteen times
In a minute's span.
Where does the "beat" part come from in the translation?
@@nunes_6 It doesn't, it's implied. Had to add it to keep the syllables at seven :P
@@JonathanAuburn ahhh it's a haiku! Thanks! Japanese is very hard sometimes
When I discovered this on Extreme 2, I pissed my pants.
Anyone else notice this track is basically Maxx Unlimited?
nunca entendí por qué, ni los steps ni el ritmo se parecen
Isai Blanco Escucha el beat de 桜 y el de Maxx Unlimited. Son exactamente iguales.
Yess, with koto instrument.. :)
Even when I was boss at this game...this song made me most angry...GRRRRRR!!!!
only thing ure a boss of is eating
I was pretty good in my days but i never made it through the end of this song too lol
I am grateful that I was able to do this on heavy back in the day.
is this the real fucking speed my lord
\
@@scottb9666 no they had it on 2 which is insane it’s so hard to read for me jaha
Perfect!!
Good
I used to hate this song. Then I unlocked Legend of Max and this song was on my number three For hardest sings in Ultramix 3.
0:57 I could never get him right.
Is it me or does the girl in the background video look remarkably like Hell Girl?
Thats actually Alice from DDR 5th Mix
The earrape bass in 1:10
How exalcty is this possible
I thought that the kimono girl was the dancing character in the game! Not from the background xd.
It is her
I think it's Alice from DDR 5th Mix.
2 step?...byeeee
Lol, my record combo was like 73
TRIPLE AAA
*good*
Why does everyone play the easy version of this song?
Easy version?
Karunamon
yeah because there is a harder version of this... the Challenge difficulty
Oh! I thought this one only had Heavy.
Heavy is actually harder than Challenge for this song. It has something to do with Oni Courses I believe. Kakumei from Max 2 is the same deal
Well in the version i have Challenge is alot harder
Do not try this at home (I died)
Japan
Se equivoca, no lo completa los combos
MAX COMBO means the highest amount of combos you got during the chart, not really how many combos are in the song.
EASY
Baby's first 10 foot :) fun as hell chart though
