Mapauso ang ethnic fashion sana para makatulong sa mga indigenous weavers para sa kabuhayan din nila. Sana din eventually, may mga makapag-design for the masses, gawin din natin norm like everyday wear.
And yet Raya and its creators only acknowledged Tagalog, even though the Naga myths are mainly Western Visayan. (I know it's from Sanskrit, but the most prominent Naga myths of the Philippines are Visayan.) Tagalog centrism is one of the problems.

I watched the livestream kagabi and then discussed this with my dad. Pati yung tinatawag na cultural amalgamation. It served as a refresher course for us. Nakakatuwa kasi we are continually learning. People fear what they dont know and respond to it with anger and rejection. If only they spent some time to know more about the things they fear, they wouldn't be so prejudiced. Sana marami makapanuod para marami ang magbukas ng isipan that the standard is not what the mainstream media feeds us.

We have always been one proud race but knowing our past, as complex and diverse as it was and appreciating its uniqueness and beauty, adds another layer to that pride we always felt. Thank you Prof Chua for reminding us that we have much to understand, discover and appreciate about who we were as we move towards embracing our identity today and in the future.
I hope ALAMAT will have the opportunity to produce a content about Philippine Scripts. How to write the basic one and why is it important to preserve our own scripts like Baybayin, Hinunuo, Kulitan, Buhid, Badlit, Tagbanwa, Jawi, Kurdita, Kirim and many others.
