    This isn't just about microservices. There's lots of stuff here that applies to trying to transform an existing monolith into a better monolith too.

    2:04 what’s funny is the idea that distributed micro-services can be thought of as independent units that have no coupling to the entire system. A distributed micro-services application is a single application and is MORE monolithic than so-called monolithic apps. All services are actually needed for proper operation. We’re putting aside the case that monolithic apps are also distributed across multiple systems working together.
