Like this model T Ford! Appreciate the history lesson!! i know that themodel T hand made was at that time was 800.$ later on in the 20s that they price droped to 500.$ dollars.David Back from Menifee co KY.
Great car. Strange to think how long it's been since the first restoration - basically a lifetime ago. Still looks pretty good. I saw photos of an original car that had never been painted. Don't know where the car is now. It was a 1914 Touring. The fenders, hood, and other parts which were dipped and baked in the plant still looked pretty respectable. But that metal varnish stuff flowed onto the body was basically gone. It just faded away. I'm told the car bodies which predated the early lacquer paints only looked good a couple of years. Can't' really know if that's true or not now since there's nobody to ask. But they looked good in contemporary photos. Always enjoy your content. All the best.
Nice car! If you know the engine is original to the car and the engine was built in August 1912 it probably is an early 1913 model. They did get less expensive as time went on but in 1926 for $290 you were basically purchasing the same Runabout they built in 1917. No electrical at all except for the coils and magneto headlights. Kerosene tail light and didn't even come with a spare rim. A Tudor with a starter was easily twice the price. Safety glass is a good idea but those top mounted wish bones are not exactly "safe" either :) Can't wait to it finished. Good luck!
Hello Mr Logsdon! I'm a new subscriber and enjoy your videos. Very informative for the time period, even for the ford model t. In your videos? Will you be doing subject regarding period biplanes???
I wish! I don't currently have any access to biplanes, however, I would love to find one to do a video about. Might have to make a trip up to New York to visit the Rhinebeck Aerodrome...
I most definitely did enjoy seeing this beautiful relic of the automobile industry.
Perhaps one day you could demonstrate how to drive it. This would be very interesting.
Yeah, I had planned to do that in this video, but it would have been a really long episode, so I figured I'd save it for another episode.
We love our two T's! About to build one from. Scratch. Watching as I can today.
Very interesting video, I learned so much from your videos. Can wait to see what it looks like when you are finished.💯💯🔧🔧👍👍

In fact, by 1924, a touring car cost $295!
Great video. I always learn something from you.
I love what you do. Count me in. Let's go on a road trip.
