But when you consider this a "sport" it ruins it when you know it's all scripted, imagine watching every other sport knowing it's scripted, you couldn't. So as much as it's athletically impressive and the plots are cute, it's all pointless at the end. Even if they do end up getting hurt sometimes, it's just a dangerous show, which I personally do not care for

It seems like the viewers have absolutely no idea how professional wrestling actually works so I’ll do some explaining here.
WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment, keyword here being “Entertainment”. There‘s more to it than just wrestling. A huge part of it are the storylines and rivalries, that make the product even more entertaining. Matches aren’t random, they’re built over time and either end or even further the storyline. The audience is fully invested. So in order for you to properly understand the weight of a big match, you need to know the even bigger background.
Now this sounds a lot like movies, right? And yet no one is complaining about them being “fake”. But that’s not the only difference. In wrestling there are no stuntmen and no soft mats to safely and comfortably land onto. The ring floor is made out of hard wood. The moves still hurt, they just make sure each match doesn’t end up as a death sentence. Many wrestlers have either had their careers shortened or even permanently ended because of slight mistakes during execution of those moves. Some unfortunate people have even lost their lives. There is a reason they tell you to not try this at home so please have some respect for them.

If you've watched WWE for awhile, you will realise how they connected wrestlemania 40 to all past ecemts. From john cena vs the rock, the rock hitting the rock bottom to cena, romam reigns hitting seth rollins with the chair which kind lf made him lost. Overall just such good storytellin

WWE is supposed to be "fake". It is how well the performers can sell the product, that is where actual skill and training come into the picture. Like how there are great and not so great actors, it is similar to that.The moves hurt and they have to follow the storyline LIVE at the moment and improvise if ever anything goes wrong. Also, I think it is a rule that none of the performers are allowed to say anything that would imply that WWE is sport not sports entertainment, there is where the difference lies.

Best way to put it is like this- while the finishes are scripted they still will change the ending even during the match depending on the crowd, and the moves are real, they have formed a technique on each move to make it as safe as they can but WWE out of all sports has the highest death rate due to deaths involved with injuries from the sport. It’s a art form more then a sport but still is a combat sport

If you're going to seriously watch and enjoy Wrestling, you can't watch it as a 'fighting sport'. You have to go into it as if it's a really long episodic tv show that has gone on for decades and has amazing characters. Ultimately no one really cares about the flippy shit anymore cause everyone can do it, the characters are what makes the show. Getting sucked into a match because you really want the good guy to beat the bad guy is what wrestling is all about, and not knowing who will win. It's like going to a live play with good story telling, and there also happens to be people 'fighting'.
Simon has his opinion but he should actually sit down with Logan and Logan can tell him how hard it is and how much it really does hurt. Yes it’s a pre determined match but the stuff they do isn’t as fake as u think
Simon was only responding to people questioning why he didn't watch it. He never once said it was easy or painless. Fake might not have been the best word to use, but going after him over him explaining why something doesn't interest him is a bit far.

He was saying that it was scripted, unlike sports, which is why it didn't interest him. He wasn't acting like it was his business or anything like that.
