We treated 70 plus lawns this summer in north central Iowa for Armyworms, 25 per cent had a problem before we treated. Everyone recovered this fall. We had 1 customer with a problem that chose not to treat. he had us come in a week ago and seed.
Excellent work! I'm impressed with Ventrac and the landscape crew. Kentucky Blue Grass excellent choice. Lush blue green manicured lawn are the best. Walking barefooted at night under the stars is rewarding. It would be nice if National Park Rangers used Ventrac in forest management to control forest fires and insects in our parks. And I 2nd the "Fanopy". 😊😉👍
Oh you're happy. It says GCI turf, and expect to hear and see Pete, and I see this guy. And then I see Pete in the background dive him behind a dirt mound. Too funny.
Pete is very knowledgeable! Up here in SE Pennsylvania, Dan Lyster of DTL Total Turf Care is Pete's equivalent up here and I'm proud to say that I work very closely with Dan who calls me in on projects for the incredible capabilities of my Ventrac!
Just around the way from you guys in Medina we had lots of armyworm damage. Even on my properties that I do a serious preventative insect regimen on. There was no escaping at least some level of damage to the turf. Plenty of work with my 4500 and the aera vator overseeding the weakened lawns
I had a pretty bad army worm problem in my rear yard. I was told by a landscaper that they mostly go after bentgrass. I live in SW PA, and I raked up the dead grass, threw down some fescue seed and as fast as it died off, new grass came back.
Ok I just realized Coolio is a rapper, call me old I guess. Maybe we could call it Cooly-Top or just call it as it is " The Coolish Canopy". Ok, I could do just one more "The Fonz Top" nobody was cooler than the Fonz. That's a Happy Days TV reference incase you are to young Aaron.
Has anyone else had an Armyworm problem this year??
Yes, we planted new grass last year and the armyworms destroyed it. Luckily we got most of it to grow back. Also, I like "fanopy"

Please call your new canopy with the fan, the Fanopy Canopy. I know I'm not the only one thinking this. It's a fun descriptive name. : )
"Fanopy" came to my mind as soon as asked
