I did the same thing. MP200 stylus on a MP110 cart. One thing I found is that the back ground became quieter and brought more of the background sounds forward. This is on a Rega P3 with a Michelle Technoarm A
Finally somebody who does understand the importance of a proper stylus. Nagaoka is the best, i’ve used their products for years and the sound quality is excellent!
@@GabesmusicdiscographyOrtofon seems to be popular with US turntable users, but Nagaoka has a way bigger fanbase worldwide due to its wider range of specific stylus’ for specific music styles and better product quality.
Interesting comments. I’ve been going down a similar track. Running a Pro-Ject Debut Evo which came with an Ortofon 2M Red. Changed to a Nagaoka MP110 and big improvement. Also like it better than the Audio Technica VM95ML which gets good reviews. Bass and drums jump out a bit more. The MP200 cartridge and stylus a bit out of my price range so I think I’ll try the MP200 stylus on the MP110 cartridge next time. I’m Aussie. Silverchair were very big here around Frogstomp time. Good album but fame as teenagers probably caused some stress down the line.

I can only compare it to the Ortofon Red, but the Nagaoka is way better.

Yeah, but the 200 generator/cartridge is not the same as 110. Not really maximizing the stylus upgrade.
@@MrCwinder87 thanks coming around to your way of thinking. Will wait a bit and get the cartridge.
Jeez... I was thirty when I heard Silverchair...
Thanks for making me feel old (joke.)
Peace on earth.
Are those the Miles Davis Box Sets behind your left shoulder??
All the box sets, live at the Cellar Door, and six Bootleg series. I have a thing for Miles.
