  • One of the best fruit trees you can grow in south florida the Soursop. Planted in January of this year our trees have really added some size. The trick really is to fill your soil with organic material this is easily achieved by mixing and amending the soil with compost. Also lots of water for your soursop !

Amazing growth! I hope they do okay in the winter. They really hate cold weather, from what i hear.

Yes balanced fertilizer will work great i would apply in spring, summer and fall but not during winter when the trees growth ceases, I have not pruned my soursops so i have no recommendations there.

How much of South Florida do you think is Zone 11 by now because of climate change? Im pretty sure that Zone 10 now comes as far north as Orlando. Still too cold for guanabana, but I have a custard apple planted and lots of other zone 10 tropicals.

Hey bud just now seeing your comment, when my Dad acquired the property 30 years ago we were zone 9b and we had occasional freezes, fast forward to today and were are pushing from 10a territory into 10b, we no longer have an occasional frost in our coastal area and temps rarely drop below 40’
