Today I am going to introduce a techy lady who has grabbed not one but two jobs offers within a span of 4 months from India .
Of course she took little time to decide which job to opt for and the good news is that she had received her Tier 2 general work visa which is now known as Skilled visa and is ready to fly to London next month.
Quick reminder to people who are new to my channel, I have made two detailed videos explaining how you can apply for a job in the UK from India or any part of the world. The process is the same for everybody irrespective of whichever country you apply from . Also to narrow your search I have another video with top 100 companies which sponsored maximum work visa last year and hence put your focus on those companies first and off course expand your search if you're not successful and the biggest networking site is Linkedin where you should know how to update & optimize your profile and network with people.

One important question is why someone want to work in UK or Canada ? If someone is getting above 30-50 LPA , why go to UK ?

I got Permanent Residency of Canada 16 years ago( currently Citizen) on basis of electrical engineering but I never got any appreciation , Anyways this Girl (Mrinalini)could easily get H1B of USA or work in Switzerland & would made 150k/year as she has potential , I don't know why she chose the lesser reward ,anyways she can always move ahead .

Dear Mrinalini, one small tip from my side as you are moving to the UK: Use ONE OF THE FRIENDS. When you say 'one of', that means one in many, that is a plural. 👍

What's the scope of Mainframes in UK?? How can I get a job there??
I started my career as Mainframe developer & I struggled to find visa sponsorship jobs here ( I am talking about 10years back) . Now there is hardly any company who are using mainframe . From my knowledge most of the company had already moved to new platform or planning to move away from mainframe.
But if u know mainframe, u can learn any language. So start learning Python , R, SQL which are more in demand.

U have two options either get IELTS or get a certificate from NARIC ( now called ECCTIS) to prove your English proficiency .

If you are part of STEM, you may land job because it falls under Shortage Occupation List. For other than STEM, will depend whether school or universities are willing to sponsor visa or not.

Do we need to complete naric or IELTS before applying skilled visa or before applying for job
After u will get the offer than only apply for NARIC ..
Also NARIC doesn’t have any expiry date as compared to IELTS. So I would suggest to go for NARIC & i don’t see any harm if I wanna keep your NARIC certificate ready.
