I have a D330T in my 944a Cat loader. That engine has always been very cold blooded and is slow starting like yours. If its not hot out it needs a little shot of ether. That will be a good crane engine Frank
It'll fit about anything you have and the plug in the bottom of the filter drain lets the water out. And it'll do better with the glow plugs working. Blessings, Frank
That's a win! If you don't have something to put it in right now, I'm sure you can find a project with a missing engine waiting patiently just for you in a nearby yard, wood, field, quarry or pit.
Your one if the better get it start mechanic... I sit here normally yelling at my phone... Don't send bad gas through your lines .... Check the oil for water... Check the water for contaminates..... Don't just put the battery to it, crank it Over by hand first .... Crack the injection lines don't kill your starter........ You I just sat back and relaxed ... The only suggestion is get a inspection camera to get down the injectors before you hand crank it .. saves a lot of grief and wasted time
@73DiamondReo I used to remanufacture cats , I bought a tiny bore scope and high quality compresión tester along with a radiator charging tester.... With just these test I could eliminate hours of guessing. I scoped both the injectors and the oil pan (once drained, to help with the oil, I used a high pressure diesel pump on a very fine and flexible tube...
Repower a friction shovel? No idea where we would get that idea. Lol. 0:50 Double check that radiator fan. I think it's on backwards. It's spinning like a pusher but the blades are cupped like a puller. Perhaps flip it over if possible for best air flow.
So cool thanks for sharing with us.

Good job Frank,
I would like to see it working under a load. 👍👍
Nice one bro it sure is a handy engine for something, maybe a cable crane. Safe travels. Ken.
Looking forward to the next video!😀

nice score

probally not worth to put in a truck
Awesome Frank! 😎👍 Hopefully the smoke clears up 🔧
Nice D330. Probably should get the glow plugs wired up. Would start better.
It needs more than that. I’m sure the fins from the compressor were eaten by the engine also
Nice tier 4 diesel you have there 😉
looks like a good find. I got one in my 950 and like it. keep up the good work.

My bore scope camera don’t fit in the cat injector holes in the past so I didn’t even bother. This is the “most free” stuck engine I’ve had in a while

Always nice when they start without much fuss. Love the aggressive amount of summer air you wound to it hahaha.
That wasn’t much at all. 😂
Here from Sam's video about the dozer.
Good work
Always interesting thanks for sharing 🦘

Will do
Definitely a good sounding engine
They are all treasures!
I had a 330t [ for turbo ] in a 98 link belt 1yd hoe/drag line good engine
Enjoyed the video!
It has to go into one of diggers, I'd say.
Awesome!
Lookin good….
👍🏻
