That looks like a hell of a truck, I love seeing actual purpose built off road trucks that aren't lifted 100 feet up in the air. Stock drivetrain in a racing truck is pretty impressive, especially with the amount of stress and heat that those engines must go through during the baja 1000.
Loved your Nintendo game back in the days, Ivan "Ironman" Stewart! :) Nothing is like driving offroad with some "rally pickups" in 8 bit form. Brilliant. Probably even more fun IRL!
Gotta say as a fan of the Baja, Jay, and Ivan. Brings back plenty memories from my childhood. Especially the snes days. "Arriba!" Those who grew up in my generation know what i'm talkin' bout!
I remember playing the nintendo game of the ivan stewart off road challenge when i was a kid. Nice to see an updated interview with him. Ivan seems like a really decent guy and seems to know every detail in driving offroad. Glad to see this made it onto Jay's channel for the archives.
Baja 1000 always been a dream of mine, to build some kind of killer tube chassis under a classic truck of some kind. Big nasty big block and huge gas tank or 4!
build a 1400/1450 truck. steel cab/working doors, roll cages throughout, bolt on long travel front suspension with either linked rear, or deaver spring packs. trucks can be very very fast. Look up Jerry Larimore in The Juggernaut.
When I was a sprout my dad and I played Ivan Stewart's "Off Road" on the NES. It was a spark of a love and interest in motorsports in general. I still run the ICONIC white/yellow/orange/red paint scheme on my Toyota Trophy truck in the video game Forza Horizon. It was just too awesome not to represent the IronMan that initially inspired my love of racing!
People complaining about this being a commercial are idiotic. The entire basis of Jay Leno's Garage is to showcase vehicles. Sometimes his own, but also vehicles that are provided by manufacturers.
Nisse Arkevid Because I think when you normally watch a Jay Leno Garage video, it feels like Jay chose the car, or wanted to do the video. This one feels like real paid promotion.
That Tundra is impressive, but I would have thought Toyota would go with a Tacoma, slightly smaller to save weight. Awesome video as usual, Jay and Ivan are great! ;}
I used to race the Micky Thompson Stadium races in the ATV class and i would love watching Ivan race his stadium truck cause he was so dang fast and yet such a nice guy off the track.
I remember seeing Ivan at the El Cajon Swap Meet just about every week. He was in and out of there pretty quick,,,, Always on the gas. Thanks Jay Leno.
IN-N-OUT Not So Secret Menu: 4x4: four 100% pure beef patties, hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, spread, four slices of American cheese, with or without onions, stacked high on a freshly baked bun
I might enjoy some of your videos more than others, but I'm just very grateful you keep producing high quality, entertaining, films. Always looking forward to the next. Thank you very much.
That was a fun one Jay (Tofuman?) Leno & Ironman Ivan!! A legend of late night TV, a legend of desert racing, meticulously engineered 4x4 trucks and the finest burgers that can be had via the drive through window. All in 7 mins & 47 seconds and free on TH-cam. What fun indeed. Keep up the great work guys/girls.
That tundra won the baja 1000 stock class in 2015 built just like Jay showed it. Ford raptor dnf once run by a private team and once fully sponsored by Ford. My Tundra has spent 10 years pulling huge loads, retrieving my broken offroad toys in the the worst spots possible, and blasting through the desert with zero issues. I wish Toyota could take Ford namesake, " BUILT TOYOTA TOUGH"
Jay, your videos are so fun to watch. I really enjoy your humor. I watch your videos for the unique vehicles but the laughs are a great bonus. Keep it up!
Really enjoy the car stuff from you. The Tonight Show was great but us old rockers love the car stuff more. Keep up and I'll keep watching. Love it all. Jim Rochester NY.
Proud to say 3 friends of mine where on Ivan team! Or really they worked for PPI in LA TRD supplied the engines and the rest of the cars where built in-house by PPI .One of them was the lead chassis fab. One transport driver.PPI also had a Indy Car team,Nascar team
Love how you switch it up Jay to get a little bit of everything on the show. Now, how about the 2015 Harley Davidson RoadGlide. It is a killer machine.
Now that's a cool guy. Great to see someone having a bit of fun with Jay. A fair few of the guys he gets on here are intimidated by him 'cause he's so famous.
I liked that review you don't see many big American made trucks in England, mainly Nissan or toyota hilux, or Shogan like my dads got, I've driven quite a few pick ups or 4x4 off road & I can tell you it's a lot of fun
because of you, I have learned to appreciate the classic cars. I was not really into the, a few years ago. modern technology use to be all I cared about
For the people complaining that Leno is selling out, this is no different than him showcasing the Panoz a few weeks ago or the Challenger Hellcat a month ago. This is the way blogs and TV/Web shows work. Manufacturers offer their products to people like Leno to showcase/advertise and in return Leno gets to create content for his show. There is nothing wrong with this, aslong as Leno remains objective and does not give favorable reviews in exchange for products, which wont happen because Lenos Garage has never been in the Car Review business.
I own a Tundra and my friend has a Raptor. I wouldn't trade him. For everyday life the Tundra is a better truck. The Raptor looks great but the only reason it makes it from one gas station to the next is the size of the tank. All that gas only gains 31hp over the Tundra. Sure it's a commercial. Without sponsorship there is no racing and without racing we would still be driving model T's. Thanks Jay! You are one of the few celebrities that I think would actually be fun to hang out with. Keep it up.
I live 12 blocks from the start line of the Baja 500/1000 an the race pass 2 bloks from my house, i ben a follower since i was a little kid. J Leno should try driving a Trophy Truk some time in the show or maybe make an episode here in Ensenada wen the race is on.
Awseome video! Stewart seems like a great guy and a great racer. That truck is awesome regardless of who's badge was on it It's pretty impressive how much of the stock truck is still in this race version.
Love Jay's humor...."Donut Man".....wonderful. I have a 2001 Tacoma and it's probably the best pickup I've ever had...I'll probably cash my chips before the truck does.
Ha ha, good way to show the two trucks are basically the same. By the way I have seen videos of Jay heading for lunch before, even taking a Kodiak and a steam car at different times. Remember he goes to a drive in regularly to see custom cars. I am glad he is reaching out to the off road community.
wow! you you ever consider driving in the Baja 1000 race and if you would BJ Baldwin we be awesome. He just finished building a diesel Ram pre runner..
Loved seeing Ivan Iron Man Stewart. A hero of mine when I was a kid. Great to see him still doing well. Surprised though to see you doing Ads for Toyota and In and Out in one fell swoop. Talk about shameless product placement! Definitely need to go see the Baja !000 one of these days. Bidly Out.
I own a Toyota Tacoma and I have been really happy with this truck. I first purchased a 1993 S10 Blazer brand new out of college many years ago. I still have this truck but it has given me more hell than my Toyota ever has. Brand new the blazer had all kinds of problems. Maybe Chevy has improved since then but for me the only truck I would ever purchase again is a Toyota. The fault is entirely GM's. They had a chance to do right by their customers and they dropped the ball many years ago and have continued to drop it since.
Agreed...had a Chev and the paint fell off in flakes the size of potato chips....white. Then....on a very hot day the door fell off...it was glued on! Anyone else?
Right on Mr. Leno effin love it, know you're a real Patriot and respectful language does not involve the f-bomb or whatever the term, like that has been rapper that used in the national Veteran's day celebration. Onward and Upward Mr. Leno.
Ivan Stewart has always been one of my Heroes. I love the enthusiasm for all things automotive that Jay Leno has.
That looks like a hell of a truck, I love seeing actual purpose built off road trucks that aren't lifted 100 feet up in the air. Stock drivetrain in a racing truck is pretty impressive, especially with the amount of stress and heat that those engines must go through during the baja 1000.
Ford did it back 2017 for it's Raptor. That was fun to watch
This video is so great, thank you Jay Leno and Crew for all the hard work.
Very nice video.
@@YuriyFreewind Very, very nice video.
That was sick! Jay is so lucky to be able to meet these people and have these experiences.
Jay Leno out here chillin with the legend himself taking an absolute machine through in-n-out, living his absolute best life! Absolutely love it!!!
That was great. Thank you Jay and of course the "IronMan" himself!
I remember playing the nintendo game of the ivan stewart off road challenge when i was a kid. Nice to see an updated interview with him. Ivan seems like a really decent guy and seems to know every detail in driving offroad. Glad to see this made it onto Jay's channel for the archives.

I don't care what the automotive subject matter is, you always have the most interesting the videos. Thank you for your weekly video segments.
"I never heard of a 4x4...You gotta get out more" LOL

Top Gear is even worse, and you never see people bitching about them.
mstews you have no idea what top gear is if you think that. . . top gear is pure British comedy
mstews I'm not a fan of US Top Gear even though I live in the US. British Top Gear is funny and better. 100x better.
jeffrey625625 What mstews is saying is that Top Gear also showcase cars just like this but you never see anyone complaining about that.
Nisse Arkevid
Because I think when you normally watch a Jay Leno Garage video, it feels like Jay chose the car, or wanted to do the video. This one feels like real paid promotion.
Thank you so much!!!! This is a classic episode !!!!!! You inspired me to be my best in all areas of my life. Thank you so much. You made my night.

Glad to see that Jay Leno is finally getting into 4X4s. And finding out how much fun he's been missing
My dream is to be in a Baja race / looks like a blast. So much technology now. Ivan is true legend and Jay Leno, you're such a cool guy.
This was awesome Jay, thanks for sharing with your friends...
IN-N-OUT Not So Secret Menu:
4x4:
four 100% pure beef patties, hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, spread, four slices of American cheese, with or without onions, stacked high on a freshly baked bun
It sounds Great.Used to love Big-Macs,but they went to $4 and patties went to about 2/3 sized.
Now you made me hungry.
Two very knowledgeable and class act gentlemen.
I have a black 2000 Toyota Tundra, Ivan Stewart Signature Edition with 43,000 miles on it. Love this truck
I might enjoy some of your videos more than others, but I'm just very grateful you keep producing high quality, entertaining, films. Always looking forward to the next.

Nothin’ like playin’ in the dirst. Just got my morning laugh, thanks Jay, you’re the best.
Badass Truck ! Great video . Love the Tundra shows how great the truck is

As we have learned, Monster energy is really satan.
MONSTER IS AWESOME
big pito
monster is a nasty. way to sweet. red bull is by far the superior beverage.
***** I honestly have never tried any energy drink. Unsweetened iced tea, water, or black coffee are my beverages of choice. Ok I lied I love beer.
ZepG
i love black coffee. i rarely drink energy drinks but when i do its red bull.
Made me try one for the first time yesterday \m/
One of the best Jay video's
I'm always impressed by Toyota!
How am I seeing this 7 years late?😆
Love how you switch it up Jay to get a little bit of everything on the show. Now, how about the 2015 Harley Davidson RoadGlide. It is a killer machine.

Awesome Leno n Ivan Iornman Stewart.

Two legends. Awesome!
After 24 year I finally know where my favorite amica\pc game is based on from back in the day. Very nice to stumble on to :-)
That's why I choose Tundra!! :)
GREAT video Jay. Keep them coming.
I still have my signed Ivan "Ironman" T-Shirt that Ivan gave me at Tustin Toyota 20 years ago !!! Cool guy ....
Looking good Jay, Awesome run, next stop visit rt66 winslow at the corner
IRONMAN is a legend great video guys!
I own a Tundra and my friend has a Raptor. I wouldn't trade him. For everyday life the Tundra is a better truck. Keep it up.
You crazy fun rich guys:) watching you makes me forget all about my bills:)
Great video Jay!
Question: @ 5:31 is the limiting strap supposed to be rubbing against the tire?
What an incredible machine.
Cool vid Jay, really liked it!
hell yeah the 4x4 from in n out is the joint
I live 12 blocks from the start line of the Baja 500/1000 an the race pass 2 bloks from my house, i ben a follower since i was a little kid. J Leno should try driving a Trophy Truk some time in the show or maybe make an episode here in Ensenada wen the race is on.
Come on jay! Nice video but give us some info; what was upgraded as in suspension, maybe roll bar attachments, what parts are carried during race!!!
Toyota Tundras are the best!! 5.7 is the most reliable engine I have ever owned and they tow like a beast
Keep the cool videos coming jay!
Jay you DEFINITELY NEVER Miss a 4X4!
I never heard of a In and Out, but I guess Jays never heard of Five Guys either. Jays always having fun behind the wheel.
Awseome video! Stewart seems like a great guy and a great racer. That truck is awesome regardless of who's badge was on it It's pretty impressive how much of the stock truck is still in this race version.
Love this vid !! Thanks jay !!!
Love Jay's humor...."Donut Man".....wonderful. I have a 2001 Tacoma and it's probably the best pickup I've ever had...I'll probably cash my chips before the truck does.
Pretty good - for a commercial.
Check that... for 2 commercials.
Vic Vil In N Out doesnt do marketing or commercials, actually its just really fricking delicious.
***** I live 2 blocks awa from an in and out. Very good burger. Not sure the hype is justified.
Vic Vil everyone in CA lives two blocks away from In n out maybe the cooks there just suck
***** I've had them all over the state. They r good. No doubt. But they are not a MUST EAT item if you visit the state (to me).
Jay Leno, company man to the bitter end
Go check out what Bill Hicks said about Jay Leno, 20+ years ago, to know all you need to know about Jay.
Lol. For reals. Being a company is actually not that easy. Integrity and stuff like that can make you buckle. But jay is pros pro.
SuperRonnieJ1183 That's what I'm referencing :)
SuperRonnieJ1183 that was 20 fucking years ago, get over it.
SuperRonnieJ1183 bill hicks was a miserable curmudgeon. he never became a mainstream success so he criticized anyone who was
Those 4X4s look goooood!
Alternative title: Jay Leno meets an alternate universe version of himself.
Great footage, even the airials look much better than before ;)
2:40 I can't stop laughing
"YOU SHUTUP"
Great video as always.
2 ICONS for sure! not counting the truck, haha
I hear In & Out is pretty tasty.
That ending was priceless. Hahaha
Love this, just read dudes, living it up, not a bunch of energy fueled, hyper, over the top fake actors. Thanks for being "normal and real".
Why no comments!? This is cool Jay, I would love to see you keep doing off-road stuff along side the on-road!
Too funny Jay, entertaining all the way. More off road vids please.
nothing less than an awesome video
Ha ha, good way to show the two trucks are basically the same. By the way I have seen videos of Jay heading for lunch before, even taking a Kodiak and a steam car at different times. Remember he goes to a drive in regularly to see custom cars. I am glad he is reaching out to the off road community.
Im not even mad that this was a blatant add, jay lenno has to pay taxes for that gigantic garage complex of his
+Ryan Duff I was thinking the same thing. My product placement meter was pegged. But it's all good. Good video anyway.
Fabulous! My kinda people Jay
Great job J and thanks iron man . Love all your you tub video clips . Regards . Don Schlegel
wow! you you ever consider driving in the Baja 1000 race and if you would BJ Baldwin we be awesome. He just finished building a diesel Ram pre runner..
That was really fun!
Bidly Out.
I would have cried, tears of joy
Truly amazing.
Toyota needs to partner with Ivan Stewart to make a street trophy truck to compete against Ford raptor and ram TRX
Kevin Bunderson and iron man in las vegas go way back in offroad.
Pre run is twice the fun!
Got to love in /out burger. Oh yea iron man is the best. Great video
Im not a 4x4 truck type a guy. But nice vid and glad jay did one. Commercial or not great vid.
I own a Toyota Tacoma and I have been really happy with this truck. I first purchased a 1993 S10 Blazer brand new out of college many years ago. Great driving Jay. Your parking was a little iffy, but the driving was superb. :D
Lmao I did that the other day. No Jay not off roading, Burger Stop. That is training Galore lol.
Right on Mr. Leno effin love it, know you're a real Patriot and respectful language does not involve the f-bomb or whatever the term, like that has been rapper that used in the national Veteran's day celebration. Onward and Upward Mr. Leno.
Had the pleasure of seeing Ironman and his 100 thousand dollar rock crawler at the moon rocks years ago.
Jay needs to revisit Ivan again in 2023!
