How did they come up with all that stuff? 😱 Our reactions to episodes 3-15 of season 5 of The Walking Dead are now available over on our Patreon: www.patreon.com/ScribblesReactions
A lot of people get confused about the watches, especially with so many episodes between the last time they were seen/mentioned and now. Right before Rick banished Carol, he loaned his watch to Sam (part of the young couple they met in that same episode). The girl was killed and Sam went missing, so Carol gave Rick her watch to replace his lost one. Later on at Terminus, Rick recognized Sam as one of the other prisoners tied up at the trough about to be killed (RIP Sam). It was a quick moment and easy to miss. While going through Terminus, Carol found the room full of stolen possessions. She grabbed Daryl's crossbow and Rick's watch. She knew when she saw the watch that Sam must have also been captured and most likely killed. Carol returned Rick's watch to him and he offered hers back to her, but she didn't want it. She didn't want anything that would tie her to Ed, since he originally gave her the watch.
Rick is concerned that Carl might be too trusting with Gabriel I can totally understand that and he was wise to point out that he shouldn’t Carl gets that but also feels the need to ensure his Dad will hold on to his humanity I like that both of these two are checking on each other It’s good to see Carl mature into a Young man who cares about others He has come so far since the beginning.
Remember what Carl said back on the Season 3 finale I didn’t kill the Walker that killed Dale you didn’t kill Andrew and he came back and killed mom and T Dog You were in a room with the Governor and you let him go and he came back and killed Merle I did what I had to do The group didn’t kill the Terminus people and now they took and are eating Bob.
A lot of fans assumed Daryl dropping the jug was a mistake and they kept it in. It's a fun theory that seems plausible, and so many people were saying it that most fans now believe it was a fact. But that's actually not the case. Here's what Melissa McBride posted on her twitter account at the time: #TWDfactoid seems many viewers thought that Norman had accidentally dropped the water jug. It was scripted that Daryl accidentally drops it👍 Robert Kirkman, who wrote the episode, also confirmed in an interview that it was written that way. But scripted or not, it's a fun moment! 😂
In the after credits scene from 5x01 Morgan looks at the sign that Rick changed to No Sanctuary Then he sees a trail mark leading off into the woods Rick’s group did not leave a trail mark when they headed into the woods at that spot Now we know who did.
An interesting side note: In the last episode, when Tyreese killed all the walkers outside the cabin before he came back in and saved Judith from Martin, they made a point of showing us that one of the walkers was impaled on a broken tree stump. When the group later arrived at the cabin, that walker was gone. Also, when Tyreese told Carol that Martin had threatened Judith and she started to go inside the cabin, presumably to kill him, Tyreese stopped her and told her he already had. That he was able to do it because he had to. So either the show made a continuity mistake and forgot about the impaled walker, or they were hinting to us that Tyreese had placed that walker's body inside the cabin, so that if someone looked through the window, they would think it was Martin's body. And sure enough, it's revealed in this episode that Martin is still alive. Meaning that Tyreese let him go because he was determined not to kill anyone.
They gave that watch to the blonde young man who was with the girl in the house Rick took Carol to to send her away from the group. The girl got eaten by walkers but the boy disappeared. The boy ended up being the blonde guy who got his throat slit at Terminus at the beginning of the troth line up scene. Terminus collected the belongings of all their captives and kept them in that property room Carol found. She recovered the watch, Daryl’s bow. etc. ; but the Terminites had Michonne’s catana and some other weapons of Rick’s group. I love the way they make all the connections with past and present events, people, memories, thoughts
Comic Comparisons : This arc with the cannibals mirrors Volume 11 of the comics dubbed Fear The Hunters They do meet Father Gabriel just like they do in the comics In the show the leader of the cannibals is named Gareth but in the comics it’s Chris Bob doesn’t exist in the comics so instead it’s Dale who is still alive at this point in the comics.
it's not surprising if carl is eager to help someone.. the last and only time he killed that person cause he was from Governor's group.. he didn't want to take a risk with his baby sister and handicapped hershel around... in his mind he was protecting his group.. the danger was KNOWN that time.. all the other time he was always eager to help people.. did we forget HE was the one who stepped up to help michonne when she first arrived in prison.. Rick and other adults very well left her to die on her own.. He helped tyreese and Sasha when they first came in prison when Rick shooed them away (it was a misunderstanding though). When Rick, michonne, and carl went out on a run for supplies (the episode they met morgan again) Carl didn't look comfortable when rick didn't stop the car to help that man... Literally his first instinct has always been to help.. The only time he killed someone because in his mind that person was enemy and he was working with governor.. yes that kid was dropping his Gun but he was too slow in doing that and again it makes sense for Carl to not trust him when the group was at their weakest with Hershel and judith.. I never understood how 1 action of his made people forget all the good he did before.. wanting to save/help people had literally been his biggest trait..
i think carl is change more reasonable and pursuit morality we can have clue from s4 e16 rick kill tracker very brutally and savage way some point make pull break of his evil side of mind he face to ultimate future of his own form father rage and cruel and brutal killer way so he choose not follow that way because he saw evil side of rick i think carl is very strong kid good personality and patient from his mother side

I love the fact that Rick asks Carol for permission to join her.

Yessss Rick was right!😂
When Daryl dropped the jug it was a real mistake so they both smiled and it was just decided to be left it in lol also fitted the moment between them
Oh wow, that is really cool how they included that. ❤️

The part when Michonne was talking about Andrea and Hershel, I agree with Michonne, I miss Andrea and Hershel

A little trivia: this episode was written by Robert Kirkman author of the comic book executive producer and TWD creator.
